I think it's more like people have read the lore about Kusari nationalism and taken it too far.

While it may be 'acceptable' to roleplay Kusari as completely independent from the other houses, it makes it boring and unappealing to those who are not in the circlejerk of Kusari factions.

That's very true, James.

In my opinion, Kusari should be more lax for the time being, considering that their government has changed, and they basically kneeled before Gallia.

I'm curious, what's actually changed about the way Kusari is run with the change in government? And how are the unlawful/semi-lawful factions of Kusari affected by it? Blood Dragons don't have the Emperor to depose anymore, right? So what do they do now? What about the GC? Angry Farmers? I suppose it's still business as usual for the Hogosha?

The FA are now unlawful, the BD still want their Shogunate back, and the GC have the opportunity to become a legitimately lawful force for women's rights if they want to take part in the pseudo-democracy.
