I really hate to rant 6 posts in here... i know I'm new to discovery, though my no means new to freelancer these 9 years pass... so before I do, I would like to say, Thank you devs, the mod is for the very most part amazing! it was awesome to find the game still so active!

/rant "Why would a zoner have a gaian gunship"... why?

Why.

that one word question is EXACTLY why... that "why" is a sparking point to an interesting, different story... I dont play with the toys I'm given... I get the exact toys I'm after because "this is jim. he is a trucker. he does trucker things." just doesn't fly with me. Its boring, tedious, stereotypical, and dull.... pass.

I have a plot to why an EX-gaian still has his gunship and bit his thumb at the squabbles of mankind to embrace a life of freedom. Do I mind a nerf? no... as a matter of a fact it fits perfectly with my RP plans... do I mind that its a 90% MAC slug to the chest? kinda... making a ship useless for even defense on a mostly non-violent character seems like punishing creativity in favor of balanced PvP, which I don't even care about because I am terrible at it... though now I'm terrible AND utterly helpless against any lulwut that might wana make my day difficult...</rant>

Ahh well... to cast away the cookie-cutters in favor of a knife is to deal with negativity for it I suppose...

Because you need Guard IFF unless you're on a generic Order base.

LOL yeah.. pretty sad I had to go to a corsair base to buy the guns and they let me get GB weapons without guard ID...

Sadly no Order base sells GB weapons besides the guard ones... *shrugs* gotta go find some missions to do I spose.. if there are any..
