Freelancer is crashing to desktop when I load it . Is this something to do with the disco mod? Is it that "dll" stuff? I might have to reinstall the game I think unless there is another way to fix it. Anyone know my problem?

I don't really think that is the problem. When I deleted the restart.fl file from the single player folder, only then the game crashed up. It was not when I started the game. It happened when I was trying to connect to the server.

The original question was it crashed when the game loaded. That's because after a fresh install you're supposed to run the game before activating the mod. No idea why, it's just weird like that. Topic had nothing to do with the server or connecting to it, I believe you're thinking of a different thread.
The same thing applies here. After you delete the restart.fl fille, the games thinks that it has never been opened before. When the game is loaded, the restart.fl file is automatically created again.
It's because the mod is activated and new information has to be added to that file. If you leave it there, it just thinks it's vanilla Freelancer and ends up crashing because of the new Discovery data.
Help it's still crashing. I can only play discovery mod now nothing else. NOTHING. That's not bad but still I can't use a speed mod or a battleship mod or any other mod in Open SP so I want to use them in freelancer regular and I can't!
