The Rheinland Military ships moved in to destroy the Nomad vessels. Wrath collided with Wrath and the cruiser spat out massive bolts of destruction.

Guns flashed and shields shimmered. Hulls imploded and bodies were torn apart. There was no way I was going to make it out alive. I wanted to scream in terror, to beg for the Military pilots to let me live, but they seemed intent on destroying me. Especially with *It* still controlling me.

But that was it wasn't it? As long as I was controlled by this thing I was just an alien to these pilots, one who threatened everything they stood for. I had to make them see that I was still human, still me.

I needed to just take control of my voice and I could ask them to save me. Surely these pilots could not simply kill me if there was a chance to save me.

*It* was distracted, focused on chasing down a Military Wrath. Now was my chance. I forced my vocal cords to move and my lips to part. “Blerrggg” was all I could muster. No!

I panicked and in desperation tried again. “Rheinland vessels, pllefft ... please help me. I am the host to a creature you call a Nomad. Please don't kill me.”

“Alien this is the Neustadt, we will not be deceived by your tricks. You and the rest of your kind will burn here today.”

“No, please! I need your help!”

“Die now”

Two of the heavy canons on the Neustadt swiveled and opened fire on my Wrath. I could sense *It* becoming irritated and trying to force *It*s way back into control of my mind. Using every bit of willpower I shoved *It* back into a corner again.

The Neustadt's guns shoot lines of plasma at my ship. I dodged them and hailed the cruiser again.

“Neustadt I know this is hard to believe but I really am me, my human self, please, I need help. Yes, there is still a Nomad inside me and *It* will regain control at any moment, but for now, I am human. Please help, I will stop my ship to prove my intentions, please tractor me in and save me.”

“We will end your sufferings pilot.”

Gratefully I powered down the engines and waited for the tractor beam to pull me in. But it wasn't a tractor beam that came out of the cruiser, it was weapons fire. The first shots grazed off my shield and collapsed it. Effortlessly *It* regained control and dodged our ship out of the way.

/ Do you not see? They hate Us so much they are willing to kill you. You are no longer the same as them, they have demonized you to assuage their own guilt. \

No... no...

/ Yes. You are no longer one of them. Join Us \

No.. I fought *It* for possession of my body. All I wanted now was for the Neustadt's guns to envelop me with darkness. My hand moved toward the engine throttle, if I could just make us stop for an instant...

*It* fought back, lashing my mind with pain, but I was beyond caring. This had to stop, I had been used long enough.

/ Think about what you are doing, you doom yourself to no hope of escape. And We have learned. We will show you many marvelous things in this place you call Sirius. We will help you grow \ The force of *It*s will was overpowering, and all I wanted to do was rest...

I surrendered to *It* and let my body be controlled.

I am not proud of what I did but I, we, needed to survive.

After a short skirmish the Nomad and Nomad-infested forces withdrew to the minefield they had build during the First Nomad War. The Rheinland Military forces did not pursue us after one of their fighters hit a mine and exploded.

We landed our ship in a system far off any map.

One base was fully completed and was a hub of activity and the other was under construction.

*** < we drag the Rheinland guard to a sealed off hanger > ***

As we enter the hanger we are on a walkway standing above a twisted mass of ship, both metal and organic. A ex-Rheinwer Captain stands there with a Slomon-K'Hara flanking him. We Know that they Know our plans.

"-Human-, who are you?"

"I...I am Lloyd Zheinder."

"Lloyd Zheinder, We will use you."

"No!"

We felt the Slomon-K'Hara crush Lloyd's mind.

"-Human- we will use you and bind your mind with one of Our minds and this ship. In your language it will be called Abschnitt. You are now Us. We will use you."

"No!"

Lloyd turned to run but guards suddenly appeared and tossed him into us. We caused our eyes to turn purple as we grabbed him. He screamed in fear as we connected him to the ship. The Slomon-K'Hara mind transferred into the nervous system of the ship and then absorbed Lloyd's mind. His lifeless body stopped screaming and slumped to the ground.

*** We are ready. We will destroy the darkbeings that have disturbed Us. They will fear Us ***

The man leaned away from the camera.

"That is my story. We know that many won't see that as noble or admirable, but please, know that when you shoot an infested human, you kill the human's dreams and hope's as well."
