What is all that equipement and exactly, what is it for? The HyperJump Drive obviously is for travelling to other systems without need of a JumpeGate/Hole, I think. I just need a understanding of what and how these are to be used.
to use the jump drive you have to buy it at the goods trader.
then you will need a radar to plot the coordinates where you want to jump and then you need tons of fuel

It's pretty cool.
While I agree with you, I must inquire as to how you find your reply remotely helpful, or why you condemn him/her (who is, judging by their join date, a newer player) for asking a relevant question in a relevant section of the forums?
Why even post? To look cool or sound smart?
Meh, ok.
As for the topic, you'll find the relevant info Here.
Unfortunately, the way jump drives are at the moment, makes them useless to anything but a barge.
With the amount of fuel consumer per second, and a 2 minute jump drive charge, only a barge has enough space for it.
Im hoping this gets changed. While a jump drive on a fighter might be a bit much, Jump drives should be able to fit on heavy transports, on up to cruisers and higher
Oh, and can I propose that jump drives NOT use fuel at all?
Fuel is fine, but not the amount is takes right now. Maybe 500-1000. So large caps, and transports can use them. 500 for caps, and 1000 for transports. Plus space the drive will take up.
1 BS having the Jump drive
another BS having Survey Module
and a barge supplying them fuel
it's bassically a team work
I've heard from someone in the know somewhere, that a bs CAN actually jump twice without any help from any other ships, so I'm uncertain exactly how they work at the moment.
We shall see, I suppose.
EDIT: Actually, it can be found in the thread I linked too...
