Since I'm a nab in .ini files, and can't read/calculate values properly, I'm using FLStat. But I remember Mjolnir saying that it, sometimes, does not give correct information, so I'm not sure if what I see is how things really are.
According to FLStat, GRN cruiser has "turning rate" 0.33, like the Rheinland Cruiser, and Council cruiser has a turning rate of 0.40, like Thresher/LSC/Fearless/Corvo. So, here's the question (2 questions) - what is the real difference in agility (turning rate) between GRN and Council Obstinates, and what kind of turning rates they have?
IF those values are true or are close to truth, here's the second question -
Why, with 4% difference in hull (873.000 on GRN vs 837.000 on Council, I'm counting nanobots, of course), same firepower (guns and their arcs) and powercore, Council cruiser has so superior agility?

because of role play....its old version of GRN cruiser that has been decommissioned (that is self explanatory) or stolen (in which case council doesn't have enough funds or means to properly maintain their ships and thus they even look beaten up)

@Doom: That explains the lower armor, but look at turning difference! Every sane man would take 20% more agility rather than 4% armor, and going by your logic, council should turn slower, not faster.
there is also explanation for that....i blame balance team....they don't take RP into account....by them lower armour always mean more turning...
But in role play my answer would be....they have lower mass because of less high tech equipment and other fancy stuff that GRN cruisers have....thus better response and tighter turns
but then we go back on brown colour and smoky looks of their engines that may say that they dont work in peak efficiency... and they actually should be slower with lower acceleration....
Then read my first line again and you'll get the picture...

Uhm, can we then have their armors reversed, together with turning rate? So gallics would take the actual "better" version, "as intended"? I'm not joking :)
By your words, gallic cruiser also carries more "high tech equipment", that means he has higher armored space volume (I'm not sure if I'm using the right term in english here...), then on council cruiser. Higher armored space volume requires more armor or better armor to reach the same level of protection. But, having the same shape and size, "more armor" is out of question, which means gallics are using advanced materials in their new Obstinates, compared to Council. Because the "amount" of armor on both cruisers is same. Or, even more likely, GRN cruiser has "less" armor in terms of cubic meters due to "additional equipment".
Anyway, that shouldn't affect maneuverability so much.
P.S. Armored space volume - I meant the total volume of space, that should be armored. Armor does not count in that, only what is behind it.
