My name is Kawashiro Nitori, A Kappa and a Scientist, currently working on a series of amazing projects! Currently, the Kappa Research Concern Shanghai Team (which consists mostly of just me, unfortunately) is seeking the patronage of a company, due to the fact that we lack funding and any sort of legitimacy what so ever...
So with that in mind, I would like to speak to the Board of Directors of Samura Industries with concern of merger of Kappa Research Concern Shanghai Team* with that of Samura for mutual profit, and so some of our various consumer gadgets could make some kind of economic impact.
We also had plans for an exploration mission of the Hokkaido System, as we discovered a derelict network of old communications satellites just floating around, which we could potentially use as a radio-tachyon frequency resonance imaging system to map the denser portions of the clouds and identify new and superior gas deposits.
<strike>That'll show those Kishiro bakas</strike> I've already spoken to the captian of one of your transport ships, and he mentioned Samura was also looking for a director of operations on Nansei Station. Perhaps, Kappa Corp. were to join Samura, alot of our projects could use a lab like Nansei's for further development.
We hope to speak to you soon to discuss mutual intentions and things!
Kiyoshi Sato here, on behalf of our upper management who are currently engaged in discussions with potential new business partners.
Science is very important to Samura Heavy Industries and we would be interested in learning more. What sort of amazing projects do you have planned? We certainly could use some advancements in consumer-level goods. These satellites you mention have also piqued my interest - do you think they could be retrofit to work in the nebulae of Rishiri?
I think there is great potential for a potential merger, though details will help greatly as I forward this to the people who sign such agreements.

Well, the Nitori Electronics Consumer Catalog features a number of interesting prototypes. Like my famous "Exteending Aaaarm" which... well... it has a hand on it, and it extends, so you can grab things from far away without needing a tractor beam.
I also invented a form of high-temperature computer system which uses liquid sodium heated to over Nine Thousand Degrees Kelvin! So far I've made it run a 1000 year old game called Tetris but it's a start! And a system of zero-gravity repair fairies which can perform quick fixes on spaceships in much the same way as nanobots, except they're cuter, more efficient, and can be sold for a premium.
Now, I'd need a research grant to continue development of the Nitori Electronics Line, which is why I was trying to activate the satellite grid in Hokkaido, in the hopes I could detect some gas pockets that were missed. BUT! I can sell you the activation codes for the sats in return for Samura sponsoring Kappa Industries and our product marketing!
Hmmm, it seems like those have a good deal of potential on the consumer market. I imagine they could sell very well on Planet Tomioka. In particular, this arm you mention as well as this computer that plays historical games seem to have great potential. The repair fairies seem to be much more of a niche market, but I imagine Samura marketing could figure something out.
I am particularly interested in these satellites, however. From what I hear about future projects in the Hokkaido and Rishiri Systems, scanning could be especially useful, particularly if what you say is true.
Samura is committed to research and development of our important holdings and I believe that Nitori Electronics Consumer goods will be a boost to this area. Do you suppose you could further develop some goods in the area of consumer optronics with a research grant?
I will forward the proper paperwork to management to begin work with Kappa Industries now.

Why yes! With a grant I could update my lab and hire a few employees. I could also prototype my Yatagarasu-powered reaction system and optical camouflage shower curtain! Hmm... I could also maybe ask Hina if she would be willing to sell misfortune-absorbing bin-nagashina dolls.
As for the satellites... I'd need the support of both Samura and the Naval Forces, since I'd need to send a pulse burst to all of them at once. That'd take an Explorer sensor or a military-grade broadcasting array mounted on a battleship. And since the KNF disbanded their explorer wing, we'd need to improvise. But I'm sure we can work something out.
I'll file the paperwork once it is forwarded to me.
