But, Kyushu-> Honshu, quite a short trip dont you think? Maybe something longer, going trough 2 or more houses. What about, start at New Tokyo, end up at Willard research station?
Well, what if they traveled first to the Shikoku Jump Hole on impulse speed, around the south side of the sun in order to keep it private. On Impulse Speed Only it should be pretty slow, and Kyushu --> Shikoku --> New Tokyo --> Honshu gives plenty of chances to disrupt a trade lane.

Attacking whatever transport used LAST would be best. If the transport pilot was an under-cover operatives on the transport and they were flying it, but they wouldn't try to take it away from the KNF ships until they had all been destroyed. So the Dragons (+ co) wouldn't attack the transport, merely lead it away.
If the KNF succeed, they'd find out the pilot was a Blood Dragon, and they seize his assets, worth aprox. 50million credits, if they lose, the Dragons get 50 million credits from him liquidising his assets, or they get it from the ransom.
