After long time I decided to install FL (Original enlgish CD) to my laptop (intel GMA 3150 video chipset). Game running very good, but when I try to open inventory or another menu, a random artifacts and graphics glitches appears and text dissapears. Another question is: is there way to reduce render distance? Game goes well, but sometimes I got a FPS drops in systems with large amount of objects and planets (like Ile-de-France or Burgundy).

There was an option to set your draw distance back in 4.83 and maybe 4.84 (Can't really remember) but it was removed and set to 25K in 4.85.

The graphics glitches might be caused by certain functions not being implemented properly in the Intel drivers. Check to make sure you have the latest version first. If you do, there are some options you can set to fix some of these, but I'm not sure where to set them.

It's official, I have too few ships now...

I had this problem with the GMA3150 chipset on my netbook with windows 7.

The only solution I have found is to install the XP graphics driver.

I'm also having the same issue with my netbook. im assuming that running it in compatability mode didn't help?

I'm a little confused, because as i researched it, i read that the xp driver wouldnt work with windows 7..

Any clarification on that would be great!
