' Wrote:Actually exactly the docking point of the base must be under fire all the time- because cloaked ships go there ready for the base shield to get low for a sec in order to quick dock and supply the base- the said guys of this base made this- so the only way to prevent is to fire exactly with all guns on docking point.
As the one who has relation to the sanction.
I've been staying in that point for like 4-5 minutes in cloaked Liner, with docking points being under the fire of 4-6 jorms, until we figured out the proper timing between /base shieldmod off and F3.
After it, base started to repair itself. There's nothing you could do. But we still sent in the second transport that did the same after like 20 (or 30?) minutes, with another guy, just for the sake of it. You knew that Rheinland has cloaked turtles at it's disposal, from which they can be unmounted. (and they were, we didn't have a single cloaked transport before the siege started)
Also, actively evading capital ship fire in Turret Steering mode, from 300-400m on a Liner is, of course, fun, but not for the 10th time, and that's not something I would call "getting into crossfire between base and battleships".
Quote:yeah , so stop shooting at the base so they can undock and another 2-3 cloaked transports can dock, they shouldnt have docked cloaked on the base in the first place
That is within the rules, what you did was not.
Quote:Actually, this is a good way to set someone up to a sanction: all you need is undock several times when the base is under attack and screen it. The base whole was under heavy fire, so no chance one can survive.
I guess that might fly if we didnt have times when you all chased them down after they moved away from the base.
Quote:he whole situation seems intentional to me, why did the transports keep undocking if they knew they are going to die? Perhaps they knew they could use this chance to mass-sanction the attackers because let's face it, people hold massive grudges in Rheinland/Omegas.
Transports knew that they would die yet they kept undocking, it's the same as threatening with reports in my opinion.
I think it is intentional, you all massively intentionally broke the rules, and we admins intentionally took guns, money, and cloaks and jumps from your ships. Your part in bold there is a big problem too, because it's not their fault for undocking, that is well within the rules, your actions were not.
To sum up, follow the damn rules. Just cause you are laying siege to a base, just cause you want to destroy it, does not relive you of the responsibility for following the rules and will not remove the consequences of your failure to follow the rules. There was such an overwhelming amount of evidence involved here, it is impossible for us to think this was an unintentional violation of the rules. We believe you knew you were breaking the rules and continued to do it just the same. As such this sanction will not be changed. I think we are done here.
