Unsure where to post this question - but Freelancer stalls on launch. I've installed the 4.86 Discovery mod, and received no error messages upon installation. Now when I try to launch Freelancer, my computer reaches the initial black splash screen with the Freelancer logo, and then stalls out. I get the same behavior when I directly run the Freelancer exe file as administrator. I am also unable to access the Freelancer CD in my CD/ROM drive - Windows can no longer explore to it.

I note that the Freelancer.exe file is still a version from 2003.

Is there another location from which I should be launching Freelancer after the 4.86 install?

Thank you for your help!

Mine launches from "C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\Discovery Freelancer 4.86.0\EXE\Freelancer.exe" where it installed itself.

Hey, Tunicle,

Thank you. Had to unhide the AppData folder, but your advice worked perfectly.

Warm regards,
