Problems connecting... Is this IP Banned?

Hello.

I had taken a break for about a month or so from playing Discovery RP (took a vacation :D) and came home this week excited to get back on the server but I have been unable to connect at all, or to even see the server listed like it used to... other servers show up fine (non-discovery mod servers -- but they arent as fun).

I have tried everything I can think of as a possible troubleshoot on my end...
today i tried to ping the server ip from my network and it timed out, so i asked a friend to do it to and they got a response... so I am worried that my IP is banned, either because a whole range is banned or because somehow I got banned, although I dont understand why that could happen because I have never used a cheat or other mods, and have always been respectful to the admins and other players. I read the forum from time to time to keep up with the rules and to understand discovery RP better, and have always played in RP (with some minor exceptions to when I was new to Discovery RP, but that was many months ago). So if I deliberately was banned I am not aware of what I might have done wrong.

I miss playing, and would love to get back to my trade routes and some of the people ive come to know on the server. Can anyone help me figure out what might be happening?

I don't know what problem you're facing. But I do hope it works out for you. I know how it's like not being able to play Discovery when you want to.
The admins are great at what they're doing, you'll soon be able to play again

I ended up figuring out how to forcibly make my cable modem to poll a new IP, so everything is good now.

server not showing up is either:

a problem with vista

a problem with the way you connect (try what taffic linked)

a blanket IP ban on your area due to a ip-changing cheater, where do you live?

sorry you're facing troubles too.

you should see if can load this page in your browser: http://82.113.48.5/online.html

its on the game server.

if your browser wont load it its probably not a problem on your end but that the server is blocking you.

have you tried changing your IP address?
