So me and my pal decided to play Freelancer. I told him about Discovery, which I had played a bit of before, and so we installd it.
With the new update we were both excited to get stuck in. We made a pair of Outcast characters called Donatello and Benthix. As we were playing a few more of our friends decide3d to start playing too.
They, however, were scared of leaving liberty so we decided to go to them. We had a fun journey on the way, firing at the GMG and the Xenos. We even tried to rob a train that was passing by.
Eventually we got to New York, only to be found by a passing Liberty Navy patrol. Luckily Benthix managed to slip away undetected but I was caught. They confiscated my personal supply of cardamine and the GMG pilots I had been collecting.
I managed to worm my way out of it as a passing Navy battleship was calling for help. The two officers left me to assist their comrade.
So as me and Benthix regrouped, ignoring the order to leave given by the navy, a local bounty hunter caught us.
He considered killing us but eventually decided he wasn't above taking a bribe. Although myself and Benthix had a plan. We both hit cruise and flew off in opposite directions. I got away, second lucky escape of the day, but my amigo was disrupted. Not sure how he did it but eventually he managed to worm his way out of that, too, and ended up in Rochester.
I ended up at West Point Academy where an LN battleship and yet another bounty hunter caught me. Fleeing wasn't really working so I eventually payed off my 'bounty' for 500,000 credits after providing them with vital Outcast intel, all of which was a lie. I pinned our reason for being in Liberty on a local Junker player who was bottom feeding on metal scraps near Rochester.
So as I regrouped with Benthix again at Rochester we came in to contact with a fellow Oucast. One in a battleship no less. The Navy and LPI sieged Rochester as we defended. An epic fight ensued.
That was our first encounter with other players on Discovery. You guys are awesome, don't change a thing.
Glad to see you've enjoyed your first encounter, I wish you plenty more. As well as your Outcasts, feel free to try out some other RPs as there are a lot to choose from and many should take your fancy.
