I've recently seen that on another forum using SMF (Simple Machines Forum), and wondered if such exists for myBB, too.
When posting in a thread with the 'new reply template', and when clicking the post button, it first checks if there was a new post meanwhile you wrote yours. And it gives a notice:
Quote:Warning: There has been a new post. Do you like to post now anyways?
With that I bet double-posts and mainly ninja'ing can be avoided successfully.
Furthermore, when being about to send your post in a thread which was older than (e.g.) 180 days, it says:
Quote:Warning: There hasn't been a post since 180 days in this thread. Do you like to post anyways?
(If you're not sure about your post/question, start a new topic.)
Damn easy and pretty effective. Can we have that for myBB and what do you think?
No more locking gravedigs, deleting double-posts and being mad about those annoying ninjas. Sounds good to me.
Not really. To be honest, I'm currently taking a shorter break from everything online-related, due to final exams.
However, I found this feature by chance and thought it to be worth mentioning (before I'd forget it).
