“The Oregon will only use its full power when Liberty is at high level of risk! In any other case, it will remain stationary in a clouded sector.”
Gen. John Conroy
Liberty… a sector central piece of Sirius System where people believe that peace lies upon. Normally a fact that is not quite truthful to those that lived there before. Corrupted by its people, politics, civil war, or terrorist attacks, Liberty still stand strong against its foes; a second powerful house that unleashes its military might against the Liberty Navy Fleet, Rheinlander’s. Nearly 3 years of war conflict between both houses they fight until one falls and takes full domination control of a System. To improve their combat ways in fighting their foes, they achieve advance technology from their dreadful enemy, the Nomads. So ironic that one might say, “How do they manage it?”
In the year of 818 A.S., a carrier known to be “LNC – Oregon,” was commissioned out of its dry dock setting a course to the Texas System on a long range Reconnaissance Mission. Slowly maneuvering the Carrier out of the Docking Moor Stem of Juneau Shipyard, ‘Zone 21’ Space System is First Lieutenant Alexander George and First Lieutenant Hailey Mills; both being ex-pilots of the LND – Missouri. Moving a ship nearly the size of two Liberty Dreadnought was not an easy task for most pilots in the Navy. Both Lieutenants went through harsh task and Complex Learning Institute before touching the maneuvering panels of any Liberty Carrier. First Lieutenant Hailey Mills was concerned of the mission task. Liberty Navy Heavy Capital Ships are not normally sent out for this kind of mission instead they will send gunships or specialized recon vessel on the task. “Full of crap this mission is. Sending a ship this size on the border of liberty?” she paused for a bit touching the panels and aligning the magnetic field of the Carrier. First Lieutenant Alexander George looked at her for a second, “Well you know the Liberty Navy how they are so cocky with their politics, wars, etc.” smirked after he mention his comment – “Yeh, maybe… probably a suicide mission.” she replied.
Behind the interior bridge a tall slim yet bulked build body walks out of the main elevator, General John Conroy, Commander of the LNC – Oregon and the 251st Navy Battalion Chief General Officer. Every crew in the bridge stood at an attention pose after it was immediately called out, “CREW, ATTENTION!” The General greeted back along with replying, “Carry on…”
Looking around his bridge during a calm walk to his chair that it’s centered on the deck floor, Commander Maya Simmons was giving him the status of the Carrier and the names of crew chiefs of the Oregon. “All systems are green, Sir. Also here’s the Holo Data Pad displaying all crew names, their background information and history status. Your personal seat also has a control panel to communicate with the Chief Officers of the Oregon. Last and not least, Welcome aboard, Sir!” Gen. Conroy was amused for a moment but got his posture back when he shared the command to proceed with the mission, “Alright, I know this isn’t the rightful ship to be used on this task. However, the General of the Navy wants to have a Mobile Recon Vessel on a hidden sector of Texas.” He dances his fingers across the panel before him and continued, “While we have numerous supplies stocked up in the Cargo Bay is all I’m guessing that we’re going to stay out there for a while. God knows how long, but whatever precautions this gives out to us, we will react to it with immediate corrective action.” He stood up from his chair and opened the intercom for everyone in the Oregon would listen to the objective of the Mission. “This is General John Conroy, commander of the LNS – Oregon.” he sighed, “This task was giving out by the General of the Navy. If you all aren’t aware… this supposed to be a ‘Reconnaissance’ Mission; spying on the Rheinlander’s and Cargo vessels that passes by about. However, the Oregon will remain in its sector while our fighters do the mission and transmit the data back to the Carrier. Any suspicious data or information that we find that have sufficient details that the Navy is satisfied with can get us back home one day faster.” He looked at his Holo Data Pad taking a quick look at all the names that he scrolled into. “You all were chosen by the Navy Officials for this task, so I hope I get the best of the BEST out of you all. Thank you for listening.”
Shortly after giving the briefing, the Lieutenant Pilots alerted the General for preparing the jump sequence. Getting the ‘go’ from the General, both pilots tapped multiple icons and command links on their screen while maneuvering the giant beast to its jumping position. LNC – Oregon was coming to a halt before it was preparing itself for a jump pull of the Jump Gate that leads to New York. Drifting at a pace of 25 meters per second, the Jump Gate recognized its size and coordinates to calculate the force pull it needs for the sling shot. After a successful reading, the LNC – Oregon was being pulled in by a magnetic field that was being produce between the Carrier and the Jump Gate mouth. The Oregon was wrapped by an electric field that crawl on its exterior hull structure and was warped out from the Zone 21 System at an immense light speed. In a blink of an eye, the LNC – Oregon disappeared from the System.
