I have bought a new copy and had it delivered today.
When I hit the multiplayer option it ask me for my account ID before it will allow me to start a LAN or internet game. Does anyone know how to retrieve this information?
Thank you in advance to everyone who reads this and extra thanks to whoever has the answer.

If you're asking how to have your key shown to you again, there should be a file inside your Freelancer installation named "myflaccountid.hta". Opening that will show you your current account ID.
The location of the file for me is at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE".
If you're asking where to get a key - Freelancer should generate a new one on each re-install.

Ok tried that and it worked exactly like you said however it said account ID not found. I'm going to try a reinstall and see if it generates a new one.
It wont generate a new one.It will only generate a new once if you remove it from the registry. Also the Account ID is specific to the instalation...this means each time you install the game with that CD on any other computer, the ID generated will be the exact same one.The characters are not threatend since the carecters are stored in the ID and also in the registry...hope you understand what i am saying...simply put...you need FAM (freelancer account manager) to save the ID...simply copying the file wont do...i tried it and it didnt worked...all its tied somehow to the registry.Even if you make new windows account(usualy generated the same ID) you ships from the other Acoount wont appear.
EDIT:
WHen you hit the multiplayer the first time...did this appeard?

No nothing like that just a empty box with a flashing cursor.
Alternatively, you can download and install Discovery Launchpad which lets you create and manage as many accounts as you want. You can also create a .ADF or .XML backup from your accs and do some tweaks to your game if you're using it to run Disco.

I downloaded the program and it works it now allows me to get online but my new problem is, that the server grid does not fill out or allow me to choose ANY server let alone Disco. Further advise would be appreciated. Thank you so much so far.
