simple question, but i couldnt find any other gunboat owners in game, so i will ask here.
Armor - for RP terms, does the gunship use the capital armor upgrades, or the reqular ones?
Thruster - same thing here, the regular ones, or the capital ship one? How about the cheeta?

armour: doesn t matter RP wise - cap armour is cheaper cause its bulkier - so it depends on your wallet
thruster: get what you like - cap thruster has nothing to do with capship - other than it has a hitpoint value that cooperates with the damage your ship is likely to be taking ( meaning it just has more hitpoints ) - cheeta thruster - only if you are outcast ( and if you are none of the lame planetdivers hehe - cause it ll cost you a fortune to repair it if you get it damaged )

Lame planetdivers? Don't you die if you dive into a planet?
ahh - yes, you die. and you safe yourself a lot of repair costs, cause you respawn with all your equipment at 100%.
soo, i can cripple someone down - even destroy their turrets - but once they die - one way or another - and respawn, they ll be restored to the last state of their ship that was docked. - when you planetdive, you even keep your ammunition. - thats why i think its a bit cheap. and it leaves the looser of a pvp fight often in a much better shape than the winner ( unless the winner dives into a planet - suiciding in RP )
on my chars, i love to use missiles - a reason for that is also that it damages other ppls equipment badly - so when someone goes against cheshire, he ( should ) have a serious repair bill wiating for him, cause i usually make quite some missile hits. ( repair costs are measured in percent / initial cost - so when your cheeta thruster costs 20 million, and the thruster is damaged by 10% - the repair will be a good part of the initial cost ) - but if you fly into a planet, you don t have to suffer from that drawback.
thats why i call it cheap, its an ooRP way to safe costs from the consequences you should suffer for flying a ship with expensive equipment. if all bombers would actually have to repair their supernova instead of suiciding, they d think twice before engaging stupidly - last time i repaired cheshire, i had a repair bill of around 7 million, cause i had lost 4 guns and damaged the supernova by 80% - i could have suicided and be restored to the last save point - saving myself these 7 million + flying around sirius to rebuy my equipment, but its ooRP. thats the consequences you have to take if you fly equipment that costs several millions.
anyway, suiciding is accepted widely even by playerfactions. - thats a bit why i like to suggest to respawn destroyed ships at 50% damage to their equipment, components and armour - to get rid of suicides. ( its OK for the sake of playability to respawn with destroyed weapons though, especially codenames, as it can really be a pain - allthough... if you equip experimental weapons and still fly into every battle mindlessly you shouldn t be too mad about loosing them ) - but that d be hardcore much.
suiciding when your repair bill is too high is commonly used by all - from the newbie up to the most respected playerfaction members. - maybe ... some day... ppl realize that in RP, pilots hardly fly their ships into a planet.
