Even on forums.
Yeah, I know. I was just using your message as a starting point for my point. Sorry if I offended you in any way.
[8:32:45 PM] Dusty Lens: Oh no, let me get that. Hello? Oh it's my grandma. She says to be roleplay.
[12:49:19 AM] Elgatodiablo: You know its nice that you have all that proof and all, Bacon... but I just don't believe you.
We can help everyone, the ones who refuse to be helped will filter out as they bore with the community.
Its all we can do to give them a push in the right direction. We will lead every horse to water, but they will choose whether or not to drink.
This may sound difficult, but it comes with a huge sense of reward in itself. I have no greater sense of pride here then to find someone I have assisted has become a contributing member to the community. Most of them are also very appreciative of the help.
The worst thing we can do is let them only come into contact with the idiots. We must stand up, show that the server has a face we can be proud of.
This is by far the most interesting and enjoyable online community I have ever been a part of, full of fantastic people. So many of you are receptive to the others around you, I am so proud to be a part of this.
This may only be a game, but Discovery has become a haven, there is a reason we have such influxes to the server, a reason the number of people here attracted so many others. The mod is amazing (kudos to Igiss, and all those developers who have contributed), but the community is the staying power, many like minded individuals all working together for the enjoyment of all. We cannot let idiotic arguments, technical differences, and disagreements cloud the real reason we are here.
So we don't always agree on things? Perhaps the forum is not the correct battleground. The potential for RP within the game is nearly unlimited, yet people choose to take out grievances out in a flaming, insulting way. Why not take your feelings to your character, and express them in a way more thrilling and enjoyable for others.
Sit back before you post a controversial topic on the boards. Think for a moment, how will the community use this in a positive way. If you cannot find a way, simply keep the issue that you have private, use skype, or PMs to raise your issue, and try not to be flaming about it.
Flaming really gets us nowhere.
Please folks, lead by example and try and enjoy even the idiocies. This is still a game, but everyone here wants to have the best experience they can.
If you pounce on someone for being idiotic, you look just as silly yourself.
I didnt think this community would be rude to new players.
I know when I started playing warcraft everyone asked me to stop playing and stuff.
But as it is a RP server they should ask in a RP way or over private message, otherwise it's not as fun to answer to
To get my point... I havent harmed or threated the newbie in any way, ask him - only thing I have done to him was asking if he is planing to join some faction ( Such a terror huh?).
Thing is I agree with this thread, but i dont agree with putting my name or the name of KNF here on martyr like "The Evil"... next time when I will see suspiciuos mercenary in capship passing to tokyo, being enemy with kusari factions, I will ask him to stop again. I guess I will gett another " U cant kill me in chimera ". and threats followed by ignorance. Im still missing the answer on my question about what I have done wrong (page 4).
And yet again, I am pissed cos I hate trials masked like wise-threads and I havent even done anything bad to that "newbie" back there. Its like half of my gameplay time that Im just standing and instructing someone how to play and get used to server - several people know that, just ask around ... And well, now im the bad one, the face or newbie terrorisation, well, gee, thanks.
I buy things I don't want to make an impression on people I don't like.
