Miss LaBrise, I recently heard about a brief thing you sent one Jack Henderson. So before I begin, I suppose I should introduce myself. I'm Kuba Zenon, former veteran pilot of the IMG - I don't believe we've met. However, I do know some about your past history, so that's why I'm sending this message.
What happened? Have you... gone straight, I guess is the expression to use? It's not every day a presumed-dead mistress of a once-successful criminal organization pleads for forgiveness from the people she used to harass, after all, let alone gets it.

Why?
Things went south fast for me in the last year. I used to have the toughest (and cutest) thugs at my feet, an armada at my disposal, enough weapons to make the King's personal armory feel ashamed, complete control over Gallia's entertainment business, a fortune large enough to buy entire systems and corporations, as well as half the Gallic government bent over the table for me.
But now?
I'm all alone. No backup. With little more than my name and whatever juice it might have. I'm not a lunatic, I've got better things to do right now other than fighting wars by myself.

Well, that still doesn't really answer my question about how it happened... though I can see how you might not want to talk about it, given how far you've fallen, heheh.
Thing is though, I'm in the same situation as you are. And I'm looking for a way out. Nobody's interested in hiring a kid like me as, say, an escort or something, so I don't have a way to replenish my dwindling funds. I've lost my home on Pecos and I'm damn near about broke.
So I suppose what I might be getting at is if you're looking to start anew, and looking for a sort of partner in such ventures, I might humbly volunteer myself, yeah? I've got contacts in a few useful places. Truth be told, I didn't intend to say anything like this, but I figure that opportunity only knocks once, right? S'there any chance that you might be interested?

Hey now, I know you're probably used to stupid thugs who resort to a life of intimidating others because they lack the intelligence to do anything else, but that's not me. Regardless, seems like working with you is my best option. I can be a gentleman when the situation calls for it, but I must admit that living my life in the Taus hasn't exposed me to many of those situations. As for anything in particular, like I said, I wasn't expecting this to come of this conversation, so I didn't exactly think overmuch about it beforehand, aye?
