So I bought a dread and I hate missions. I either die or get bored; not what I had in mind when I bought it.
So I'm deciding to go back to trading (I can hear you laughing at me ;_; ) because I found it more enjoyable.
Only problem is my trade route is really crappy:
29 Million hauling Silver Ore from Saltese to California Minor.
37 Million if I mine and buy back my ore.
It's alright, but not really the route I dreamed of.
I might not get much answers, because people don't enjoy sharing their routes but does anyone have maybe a few mini routes (or if your nice) or normal routes? I'm trying to gather information so that I can mold one big money making route.
mine Sigma-19's He-3 and sell at Southampton, NL - 53M for one-way route

Thank you for your time--
You probably already know most, if not all of what I'm going to tell you, but here goes anyway.
Since you are getting rid of your Dread, DO NOT go and buy a big trading vessel right away.
Buy something small, that moves well and has plenty of firepower, equip it with whatever ID you plan on using when you do get your main Trader, then..... go exploring.
Along the way, try to get your IFF to match your ID, it will help with your RP, as most stations/planets that a ship with your ID shouldn't be landing on will let you know about it in a hurry. lol
Land at every station and planet you come across.
This will build your trade list, the bigger the list you have, the better for working out where you can make a profit.
Also, get hold of a little program called "Freelancer Companion", no real Trader should be without it.
Edit: One more thing, don't stick to one trade route.
Pirates look for patterns and once they figure out what you are up to, they will sit on your route and ask ever so politely for for credits.
