Your point is irrelevant, suicide trade routes are a lie, you have to dock to sell your stuff, so suiciding would just make you go back to the place where you sold your stuff, not where you bought it... Unless you don't sell it and just die before selling, but in that case, well, you obviously think less than a pirate who demands 10 million from a Gull full of water while you are in a starflea...
i spoke with bear regarding this and it is harmful to server roleplay.
My simple point is just add a death message of lost in space or something ?
Do explain how it is harmful to server role play. Name dropping the name of an ex admin doesn't validate your claim. While I doubt adding a death message to these types of deaths would add a ton of work for the server, the fact is this. It is adding something for the server to tract and process and there is nothing to gain from it. If we don't gain anything, why have the server do it?
SMG, suicide trade routes aren't a lie; they just require two or more people or two or more computers to do. You'll get caught doing it though and banned.

Well, from that comment, you don't understand suicide trading. That's actually a good thing.:P

System wall no death message Can be abused for pvp and The suicide mining.
Why not hit a planet ?
because of you hit a planet once an hour every hour ppl will start looking ?
You give you self away where as if you hit the wall all you get is new player that could mean you f1'd in space and came back and it takes admins the extra time to go through all that.
My second one.
Behind a proxy ok.
there is a neat little program out there called hotspot shield.
People in other countries used it to watch hulu before they blocked it all together.
You apply this to vmware and it once again gives you a new set of ip
Or you could just call your isp and them give you multiple ip's Eather way.
You set an afk ship to fly away whilist you start making a nice thick cloud. ( mind you i also have a mining program that just spins in random but set circles to mine whilist your afk for a minute also. Its just a keyboard macro program. Eather way Yes the abuse comes from multiboxing or using multiple compters @ once. But the catalayst of not getting Caught is the lack of a death message.
Without me pointing this out i could abuse this to no end.
Mind you you must actually be Somewhat smart to know how to apply all these programs at once ( and have a strong enough processor to handle them ) For the point of abuse.
To take it a step further you can copy vmware and have a 3rd transport there to pick up the extra ore if you over mine and have 3 clients going through 2 of them in 2 different hotspot shields and 1 off your main ip so long as you never get the 3 confused so match them to 1 person you should make it very very hard for anybody short of a computer wizard to bust you out. That being even so would be very hard to prove considering hotspot Never gives you the same ip twice And if the ip gets banned you just swap.
So another easy solotion.
Would be to ban the range of ip's hotspot gives you.
Or just add a simple death message
I honestly think it would be better for rp.
/edit
For those of you who dont under stand while hitting the system wall brings you back to the last point docked.
If you never docked and had a second ship that remains stationary at one base unload your cargo and bring you back up more you save your self a 40 ish minute trip home.
and before you say just track the /givecash if you just do the trade in space with say credit cards or just swapping the credits it cannot be traced without some rather extreme same time lookup.
http://signavatar.com/15890_s.gif First: You've got a picture in there that's 800x286 pixels. The maximum signature size is 700x250.
Second: Your other picture in the rotation fills the full 700x250 boundaries by itself.
With an image that big, you can't fit any text below it. Please fix this.

Dude, I used to be an admin and I know what Matt had created back THEN to help us as admins track multi-boxers. Please feel free to think that simply changing your IP will work wonders and take care of all your issues. It won't.
