maybe a little, but it's really just a little bit of wisdom. Y'know, that by-product created when reality starts livin' all over the preconceived notions a person has about the world & people in it before they go off and actually live in it for a while. When the unstoppable force of reality smashes into the immovable object of fantasy about reality, the only thing you can clean the mess up with is the accumulated knowledge you possess at the time.
So, wisdom is somewhere between dirty mop water & pure gold:crazy:
I have to agree, she got her ass kicked for a good reason. F..k her ! She sounds like a little princess. ****, I started working when I was 13. I had 2 paper routes and I remember walking by the school with the freaking cart, while cute girls giggling at you. The guy is absolutely a normal father !!! RESPECT!!!
I will register to let him know that.

I think this was unnecessary and could have been avoided. Those who support this would probably also support domestic violence.

Do you think with words kids will listen? Who punish kids nowadays? Like you tell him/her "your grounded"and he/she is like "Whatever" and sits on the PC and posts "My parents suck" on his/her facebook wall. Sorry but your/her/his parents may not be the best one but they STILL feed you, give you cash, buy you stuff and gadgets (Iphones, Laptops, Ipads, ect.) and your thank to them is posting disrespecting letter on your facebook how horrible they are...Yah nice way to tell them "Thank mum and dad for feeding me, giving me shelter and education"
I actually just posted a link to that video on MY facebook page, so that it can continue to spread.
I was raised in the generation that if you misbehaved or talked back to your parents you got your ass whipped. You learned to respect your parents. You did your chores because learning how to do your chores helped teach you responsibility. If I didn't go out and feed the dog, he didn't get to eat. Then MY next meal went to feed the dog while I went hungry that night. If I didn't take the trash out every other day to the burn barrel, I was liable to wake up with it in my bed. (That only has to happen once!)
She's complaining about being so tired that she has to go to bed at 10 PM so she can get up at 5 AM. Hey, princess, welcome to THE REAL WORLD! When I worked at the car plant on day shift, I was up NLT 5AM every day, because that production line started at 0630, we got a 10 minute break at 0830, lunch from 1030 till 1100, 10 minute break at 1300, and the line shut down at 1500. (3 pm) IF we didn't have to work overtime - then we'd work right up until 2nd shift started at 1630. My wife right now leaves for work at 6 PM, and doesn't get home until 8 AM - sleep a bit, see me for 20 minutes in the afternoon, rinse, repeat, since I work now from 8 till 5. And she's working 6 days a week, pulling down overtime like crazy because it's available and we need a new roof on the house.
Sympathy for the daughter? Not from this grandfather.

Ok, i have breathed a little. I don't care if she is pissed or not, she is a very, very spoiled child. She obviously got it good. If she doesn't clean her parent's ****, then she should move out ASAP or as soon as she is 18.
She has no respect for her parents. The language she uses is totally unacceptable. She wants to be all that cool and fast with her mouth, then her dad needs to take her laptop away and don't pay for her freaking internet. Let her do that on her own. Shiet....
That little bitch needs a snap on her tender ass and a reality check.
I have read in the comments that he handled it wrong and that is a penis measuring contest between him and her, bluh, bluh...Well, if it is the case, I don't think he started talking shiet about his daughter on the internet?
I really don't know all the reasons why it happened, perhaps we are seeing just the tip of of the iceberg, but so far I think he did a very correct thing.

you know this is just funny. i was going to write a big response to this but i lost my track halfway through. so I will just say this, in my family there is a saying that goes "if you cant hear, you will feel" now back in the day, hell this was the law, you either did what you were told when you were told, or you were punished.
this father had tried the talking approach already, you can tell hes so pissed off he cant even speak straight sometimes. she didnt hear what he said last time it happens, so now she will feel the consequences. in our house that meant you got slapped several times, in his it means you get your laptop shot to hell.

hahahhahahhahha HAHAHA... there is a difference between beating somebody for no reason, and disciplining your children through force. that being the amount of force and the motive are all completely different, so no its nothing at all even remotley like what you are suggesting...
you dont beat your child to death because they disobayed you, you dont put cigarettes out on your children because they came home late, you dont punch your daughter in the face because she didn't wipe up the table.
you apply adequate force in specific situations so that the child knows why they are being punished, if you hit a child in an attempt to discipline them, they must know the reason for it, otherwise they will not be able to learn anything, they are just being punished for seemingly no reason and then all kinds of problems start to crop up as its just abuse and you are just beating them because you feel like it, which is what child line is for.
shes 15, shes a big girl now, its unlikley in western countries in this day and age physical punishment would be used on somebody that old, instead things they like simply get taken away, which can be even more effective as a mental punishment than a physical one.
so i stand by my statement, he is a hero, parenting done right for once. a parent that will not stand by and let their child walk all over them.
I think dad should have cleaned her room out while she was at school. Let her come home and fid her room bare. The law where i am from states "food and shelter" have to be supplied until they are 16. So give her an empty room, and food to live. Nothing more until she learns a little respect. Each day she does what she is told? she gets something back.
PS. I also put on my Facebook account, and emaild to all my family and friends.
hell once a kid is old enough to legally work, they either pay for their share of the food & rent by doing well in school, or they do it by getting a job.
Simple as, because no kid is 'entitled' to anything & there's no room to complain like a self-centered squatpot about something so simple as chores.
So the laptop has a few bullet holes in it. So what? If she wants another one, she can now go get a job & buy herself one someday.

Agreed.
My brother (I did too) has gone out and is working cleaning the neighbours cars and moving their lawns to save up for an Ipod.
Too many children have too much disrespect for adults now days.
