Yet we had no time to test these crystals, but we have several of them. If we meet we can give you a few, to test them properly. Also we were allowed to study the energy cell furthermore, but the TAZ wants it back later. So we will try to make a blueprint of it, as we're not allowed to leave the system with the cell.

If the Daam K'Vosh devices are in fact powered by these crystals then they would run dry eventually wouldn't they? You said the crystals worked like batteries, but I doubt the Daam K'Vosh would go through the effort of making the cluster if it was going to collapse soon after when the crystals ran out, so there must be something I am missing. I think I will go and take another look at the cluster, the probes are still inside the planets I will try to reactivate them and take more detailed scans. I will contact you if I find anything.
After scanning the Daam K'Vosh devices again I have found that the crystals appear to be connected to a Daam K'Vosh power cell, most likely very similar in design to the one in your possession. It appears that the crystals act as a backup power source, if the main power cell is rendered inoperable for some reason the crystals would provoid sufficient power to keep the device operational untill a it can be repaired or replace. This would not happen now of course as the Daam K'Vosh left Sirius centuries ago.
I am going to request permission from the Gallic government to remove some of these crystals from the device for study, there is no point in them remaining in the Daam K'Vosh devices at this point, no human could ever replace a damaged power cell or even know if it had been damaged or not without constant monitering via probes launched to the surface of the planets. Prehaps a way could be found to charge them with Sirian technology.
No word from the Gallians yet, not that I could make the journey at any rate at the moment. The Prometheus is a tad banged up at the moment. Any new developments on your end?
Yes, we have managed to study furthermore the energy cell, but unfortunately we had to give it back to the TAZ. In a few days we will set out to the Pennsylvania system, to study that moon.
As for the energy cell, we managed to find out, that there are three different types of crystal attached together.
The frame seems to be conducting the energy, but clearly the crystals store the energy. The ones we found inside the Geode were like the bigger crystal in the device. The other two types are unknown to us, although we found several types of crystals in the Geode, none of them had the same color and structure as the bluish and greenish in the device. Have you ever seen those crystals?

I can't say I have seen those other two crystals you were talking about. The "battery" crystals in the DGMs in the Privas cluster I have only seen in scans and never in person.

The original powercell was handed over to the zoner group "TAZ".
However, I managed to scan the powercell for multiple days and created blueprints.
The original artifact is not available anymore but it is possible to recreate one with rare components from the sirian market and with the crystals from the "Goddess Geode" in the "Baffin" system.
More details about the powercell's functionality will only be passed to you if you can proove yourself to be both loyal and discreet. The mere existance of these blueprints is a secret and must not be told to anyone not directly affiliated with the CSR.

Now, as you can see the modified gravitational manipulator did not work terribly well, it sent us far off course and the jump took a very long time, however I have made great strides since then. My latest design is made to fitted to the front of a ship, it opens a jump hole mere centimeters in front of the ship and the ship "falls" into the Jump Hole which then closes behind it. The design works on small scale models but a full scale model requires massive amounts of power to shield the ship and the surrounding area from gravitational fluctuations caused by an opening Jump Hole. Now you know that I trust you, if Aegira for example knew I had technology that could ruin their monopoly... you must keep this a secret just as I will keep the power cell a secret.
