Takes a pretty big swig from her water "I w- won't go back to Liberty u- until it erm..."
Untill it's really needed, wh- which I hope it's not.
She rubs over her left leg and shortly after stands up, grabs the crutch leaning onto it.
"I eh.. I got to change th- these bandages on my leg, doctor said so."
"Sorry t- that we couldn't erm.. talk longer. I'll be g- going back to my room now"
Giving a short smile at Jeremy, limbs to the counter of the bar as he takes out a few chips,
laying them onto the counter of the bartender. Leaning on the crutch she limbs towards the exit. "See y- you around Jeremy" Giving him a short wave with her free right hand.
Besides the dull rumble of the engine, only Kirikos quiet breath could be heard in the cockpit of the Clytemnestra as it approached Freeport 1. Sleeping soundly and letting her trusted companion get them there safley, a sun with shining rays was displayed on the monitor screen for a few seconds lighting up the cockpit, as the AI began the journey run down.
::We have arrived at Freeport 1, NFZ weapon check complete, all weapon subsystems disabled, all required information sent to docking control.. awaiting clearance to land:: Cly said methodically. Kiriko stired a little and the image disapeared, "nnh.. mm, are.. we here? Cly?"*a thumbs up was displayed*"ariga..to" Kiriko said groggily, slowly coming too.
The voice of the dock control officer was heard over the radio to her ship, "Vessel 'Clytemnestra' docking for your ship has been granted in hangar 3", Kiriko called out a tired "haiiii" before the coms were cut.
Kiriko blinked slowly behind her hazy eyes, still half asleep. "mm, lets go then Cly, that man said hangar three, we can dock now". *a thumbs up was displayed* and the ship accellerated a little turning to line up with the hangar, running lights to guide the vessel were activated leading into the dock.
The Clytemnestra slowly entered the air lock chamber and the bay doors closed behind the ship as the room was pressurised, lighting flickered on after the doors behind them had closed. Kiriko heard the buzzing sound of the 'all clear' and the door to the inner hangar space was opened, she took a small intake of breath and the Clytemnestra brought up a display of the parking arangement with options to select a space. "mm this one here Cly" she said pointing to a space in the hologram display.
The display vanished and Cly maneuvered itself to the position Kiriko had chosen in the hologram display. Kiriko looked at all the people moving around like ants in the docking bay, ships of all kinds were here Corsair ships, Hessian marked sabres, Z line ships, Rocs, the works, shivering slightly, Kiriko felt happy inside that she wouldnt have to deal with those ever again.
Cly set itself down on the designated pad, a Freeport engineer was waiting outside the ship he brought over a set of maintenance and equipment carts with him and awaited the pilot to disembark. Kiriko sat and sighed a little, happy to have gotten to the freeport finally, "Arigato Cly, we made it safe and sound"*a sun with shining rays was displayed for a moment* ::A pad worker is inclose proximity to the ship::"ah! he must be waiting to see if we need anything.. mm, do we need anything Cly?"
The Clytemnestra began to list the things that were needed..
::Hydrogen Fuel levels are low, Oxygen levels are mid range, consumable H20 level low, food rati-::Kiriko interupted her companion "Cly stop, hyaha.. ok, well I'll let you handle it ok? tell the man what we need and im sure he will make sure we are ok to go.. hai?"*a thumbs up was displayed*Kiriko smiled and unbuckled her restraints, she looked at her coat and wooly hat for a few seconds and turned to the monitor again "Cly, what is the temparature of the station? can you find out for me? it might be cold out there.."::searching station net..... located, mean temparature of dock area '283K', station propper temperature calculated at '293K'::
Kiriko looked at her wooly hat again, "Do you think I should take my coat Cly?" The AI waited a moment before responding ::Thermal layering recommended for extensive time within dock section, otherwise not required:: she smiled and decided not to take her coat but lifted her hat from the hanger, "I will just take my hat then just in case.. come on lets go"
Cly showed a thumbs up and powered itself down, its portable version emerging from the control panel into Kirikos reach she unhooked Cly from the main consol and held her tightly in her hand before cliping the ClyMini to her waist and pulling on her wooly bobble hat. "Ok Cly.. open up now" the front of the ship immediatley opened with a loud click and a hiss, the cold air of the dock made Kiriko shiver a little as it flooded the cockpit.
The freeport landing staff member stood attentivley a few meters away looking a little peculiarly at Kiriko, not expecting somebody so small to be emerging from the seat. Kiriko climbed down carefully from the Clytemnestra and stood on the metal plating of the dock floor with a quick breath of relief that she didnt fall. The staff member approached her looking somewhat bewildered, "Hello there madam, welcome.. um.. to Freeport.. 1" he became mildly distracted as she approached him and was dwarfed in comparison, Kiriko smiled up to him blushing lightly at his use of the word "madam" making her feel like a real adult.
//Kiriko was dressed in informal clothing, a thigh length white pleated skirt and a light pink t'shirt, her hair was neatly bound with a headband that had a small picture of a cat on one side of it, she wore white trainers and light pink socks that came to midcalf level.
"Konbanwa Zoner-san, mm we might need a f-few things Cly will let you know what we need" she stated confidently shuddering at the cool temparature of the room, the man blinked a little at the small girl infront of him "Are you.. alone here ma'am?"Kiriko nodded and tilted her head a little to him confused, "why?" the man blinked again and shook his head again quickly, "nothing, nevermind ma'am, so you were saying you needed some things?", Kiriko nodded pointedly, "Hai..Cly will show you, just ask her what we need and she will tell you, hai?" The man recoiled in confusion, who is this 'Cly' you speak of? Kiriko chuckled and pointed, looking at the Hussar gasping a little, "Oh, I almost forgot.. Cly you can close now"*the ship closed the split opening at the front of the fighter with a loud clank sound* The man raised his eyebrows as the ship did as it was told on command, "uh... right.." he said in a confused manner, Kiriko turned to him and smiled "see.. just walk up and ask her.. I need a drink so l'll be back later ok? ja mata-ne!" she said with glee as she bounded away happily.
Kiriko springed off in the direction of the sign that pointed to the bar area, worming her way around all the people and happy to be on her feet again she unhooked the ClyMini from her waist, "Cly point the way to the bar.. I'd like to have a nice drink"*a thumbs up was displayed* and then a map of the station with their location marked as a blinking green dot, the path was lined out and Kiriko carefully followed it, looking around in mild amazement trying not to look too many people in the eyes and keeping herself as small as possible she eventually reached the bar area. "thanks Cly, we made it, mm I wonder if they have any fun drinks here" she said happily, entering the establishment with widened eyes, everything was all shiny and new looking. Kiriko turned Cly around and pointed her forwards, being careful not to hit the waitress as she passed. "click" she whispered, the AI activated its camera mode and took a series of pictures for her and stored them, *a thumbs up was displayed* and Kiriko smiled, moving towards the main bar and pulling up a stool to be seated, she put Cly on the counter and climbed onto seat carefully.
Kiriko sat with glee on her high perch as the bartender moved over to her "hey there little lady... waiting for your parents?" Kiriko shook her head and smiled "iie, im here for a nice drink" the man was taken back a little and assumed she didnt mean anything alchoholic and chuckled a little, "well madam, what can I get you then?"Kiriko bounced in her seat for a moment, bubbling inside thinking about it, she spoke still thinking about what to say as she was saying it ".. mm, do you have any fun drinks? like... mmmmmh, Melon and Lime flavour or.. or... orrr, ermm...Melon annnd, Orange? ohoh, um can i have an umberella in it too? onegaai?"The bartender -a little confused by her taste in beverage- smiled a little at the last request, "yea you kids love those darned umbrella's eh? tacky as hell if you ask me, sure I can see if we have anything that fits the bill, anything else you want?"Kiriko thought and picked up Cly, still deciding, "hmmm, do you have.. OH, um um, Melon sugar sticks.. I looove those too"The bartender laughed and shook his head, "sugar fiends you kids, sure i'll go and check" the man moved away from Kiriko to go and check the stocks. Kiriko pouted a little at being constantly refered to as a 'kid' but smiled at the thought of the sweetness, laughing a little in anticipation of the taste...
Jeremy drained his vodka, setting the glass down. When the young girl entered, he ordered another Root Beer. He smiled at the conversation between her and the bartender. She reminded him ov Rika.
Gorkon walked in after a patrol within Omega 3 itself and guarding over the base his crew now called home. As always, he walked with purpose and pride. The alien warrior would take a seat after ordering a drink.
He sat alone, reviewing on his com pad some gun cam shots that he had taken. He smirked a little as he muttered under his breath, "like Rheinland needs our base when there is a jump hole that evades patrols. Suck on that one, Carina." He pondered sending the pictures to the Royals but he voted against it, his strong dislike of them winning out.
"Take this base?" he thought to himself, "Over my dead Klingon body!"
He sat alone, keeping to himself. His looks were enough to draw unwanted attention without trying.

Normally, he was just a passer-by at Freeport 1 on his way to Omicron Theta for escort duties but this time, he moored his ship and came aboard, meeting the bartender and security officer.
In his right hand was a guitar case while in the other was a large duffel bag.
"Mr. DeGarmo," asked the security officer, "I gather you're planning to stay awhile?"
He just nodded with a shy smile.
"Very well, I have quarter for you not far from where your TAZ people are near the medical bays," stated the officer, "I'll escort you there." With that, the two men left.
Shortly afterward, he returned to the bar his guitar slung over his shoulder as he approached the bar.
"So what'll it be?" he asked.
"Something easy," asked DeGarmo, "say...a Starduster."
"Very well," replied the bartender as DeGarmo found a table by a window. As he tuned the strings of his guitar, his drink was delivered to which he just smiled and thanked him.
Then, he began to play an old song from long ago and far away. It was soft, pleasant and to some, very somber but as he played, he closed his eyes and just let his guitar speak.
He was tired, and as always, sleep was elusive. He hadnt been back on the station for more then an hour, without feeling restless.
The revelation that had come to him while on Gran Canaria still occupied his thoughts, and everything felt adrift. He wandered corridors, spoke to people he vaguely recognised. Got backslaps and well wishes from many of them, handshakes from others. But it all seemed...unimportant. Not from apathy, but just this sense of...wandering. His mind was open now. He remembered.
His footsteps carried him around the bazaar, and hearing the drifting echo of guitar music, he followed it, leading him into the familiar setting of McCools.
The place was just the same as it always was - slowly renovating, but developing a now lived, personalised, home'y feel. chairs were pulled from everywhere, and most of them from scrap. More then a few were once control couches within starships. Tables were whatever flat peice in a polygonal shape could be set on top of something. Whether heavy cable spools, or neglected ship paneling, or unused crates.
one wall, still needing its faux wood panneling, was collecting names of all the folks who made the place home - Soldiers, Mercenaries, Militia, Passerby, free spacers, pirates, even the occasional corsair.
One scrawl testified to the impressive virility of a Black Sail named "Chanos".
The place had stopped becoming an unfinished piece of an abused station, and it had changed into a home.
He looked around, and while he'd only been gone a week, it felt like months. The guitar music guided him home.
He sat down at the bar, smiled at Sal, and got a bourbon and coke.
He listened to the music, and let his mind drift.
Let his mind finally come to terms with the truth....
<a battered and beat up kusari Ahodori aka explorer flying a freelancer IFF and Id Transponder eased into a mooring point as the maglocks anchored the old girl a name painted on the hull could be seen "SS-Vanguard" sje powered down with a low whine then the airlocks pressurized a man about 25 exited,he wore a Tactical vest and short sleeve shirt with grey Fatigues,he looked like a merc yet walked like somebody with time in a Military behind him, alert and sharply his name was James "Jimmy" Patterson he walked into the tavern and took a seat at the bar "gimme a whiskey on the rocks and leave the bottle"
A tall man walked into the bar, flanked by three security officers. He nodded to the trio of them. William Harvey, Freeport 1's newest Defense Director had entered the area.
"Keep an eye on things. Make sure they don't get rowdy, I have a feeling something is about to happen."
Harvey stood in a corner and began eyeing each new bar arrival with suspicion.
<Jimmy saw the men enter took a mental note and figured it was some vip or station bigshot he downed his jack and looked out the viewport seeing his ship still there he turned back to the barman" id like the biggest burger you make" when his food appeared he took a bite and picked up his liquor and took a seat at a table he caught a glimpse of the new man eyeing the room and was able to figure he was the Security chief of the satisfied and knowing he had done nothing wrong he dug into what was left of his quarter-pounder
