[font=Arial Narrow]Formerly known as the 82nd Intelligence Task Force, which was originally established by Vice Admiral Roger Hans (Ret.) in 818 AS following his retirement from the defensive line of the Armed Forces Fleet stationed at the Battleship Derby. Originally suppose to function similar to Liberty's "Gold Wing" the 82nd served mainly in combat operations across Bretonian space aiding the regular Armed Forces pilots.
The purpose of the 82nd was to put more advance pilots in the cockpit against the brunt of the Kusari invasion. While 82nd ships were also deployed for normal military procedures. By November 28th, 818, the 82nd Squadron was transfered into the hands of Director Regis Lawson, the Director of Intelligence. Director Lawson began converting 82nd Pilots into highly trained Agents for the Intelligence Agency of Bretonia.
The Intelligence Agency of Bretonia now functions as the central intelligence agency for all of Bretonia, acting similarly to it's counterparts in Rheinland, Liberty, and Kusari.
Late January, 819 AS, multiple Section Five Agents were reported in Kusari space, around New Tokyo. It's rumored that these Agents were assisting a group of Privateers in taking the war to the Kusari people. The incident was reported to be true later on following the death of Senior Operative Tobias "Revenant" Wilson, who has received the Carina's Cross for his bravery in combat. While the offensive wasn't as successful that they had planned, multiple Kusari ships were shot down before the the Privateers and Section Five agents had to retreat.
Since the death of Operative Wilson, the Intelligence Agency of Bretonia has stepped up it's operations within Bretonian space.
"If you're caught somewhere you're not suppose to be, we'll appear without a word, weapons primed, and nicely tell you to leave. Of course, that's after we erase your ships hard drive. Hell, that's how we got the name Spooks after all." -- Unknown Operative, 818 AS
Section Five, as it's commonly known, is responsible for protecting Bretonia from threats to national security ranging from espionage, terrorism and sabotage, from activites of agents from foreign powers, and from actions intended to overthrow or undermine the Bretonian parliament by political, industrial or violent means. Section Five also works closely with both the Armed Forces and Police Authority by aiding in intelligence gathering on specific domestic threats, such as Gaian Terrorists, and Molly Terrorists.
[color=#66CCCC]Military Intelligence Section Six
Section Six, as it's commonly known as, is a classified Espionage unit that serves in protecting Bretonia's interests abroad. Section Six Agents are known to use alternate alias's when undercover in foreign space.
Military Intelligence Section Seven
Section Seven, counter-terrorism unit. Section Seven is dedicated strictly to Anti-Terrorism operations. Section Seven is known to keep close tabs on anyone persons who threaten Bretonia's foreign interests. It is not known if Section Seven is deployed in foreign house space to deal with foreign terrorist cells. Foreign terrorists include, and are not limited to, the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army, Phantoms, or other terrorist cells.
Grimsby Task Force
The Grimsby Task Force is a unit of specially trained operatives who have been trained in fighting off alien threats. This task force has four operational goals, One: To provide aid against the common enemy of mankind, through lethal force. Two: Protect the people of Bretonia from extraterrestrial beings, and Three: To protect xenobiology research at Sunderland Research Center, the Fourth: Researching alien technology.

*Section Six units will have an untagged naming convention of "Firstname.Lastname"
[font=Arial Narrow]The goals of the IAB range from a variety of tasks.

[color=#FFFFFF]Espionage
Counter-Espionage
Surveillance
Termination of Xenomorphic Entities
Secondary Goals
Protecting the Crown's Interests across Sirius
Escorting Diplomatic Personnel
Counter-Terrorist Operations
While in the middle of a war, the Agents of the IAB know that their duty is to protect Her Majesty, the Crown, and the citizens of Bretonia from espionage, terrorist, foreign, and extraterrestrial threats that may make themselves known to the Crown.
[font=Arial Narrow][color=#66CCCC]~ Due to the Kusari onslaught, our limit on heavy capital ship vessels is very, very limited. As par agreement with the Fleet Admiral, we are limited with two Bretonian Gunboats, these Gunboats will not be serving on front line combat, and will be stationed in house space.
[color=#66CCCC][font=Arial Narrow]The B-294-L
[font=Arial Narrow]Expertly fast and agile, this fighter design is based on the "Bee-One," the class that cleared the Bretonian frontier and set the stage for the colonization of Sirius. Though patterned after this timeless classic, the Hussar has many significant improvements and modern attributes that make it a true blue asset.

[font=Arial Narrow]The B-400HF
[font=Arial Narrow]Surprisingly, this was an old fighter design in the service of the Bretonian Armed Forces. The Paladin is a very versatile and maneuverable craft traditionally piloted only by highly decorated officers and nobles in military service, originally using expensive components and high quality, but time consuming, assembly methods.
With the continuation of the war with Kusari, whose Naval Forces rely on nimble snubfighters, the Bretonians made the decision to simplify the design and produce the Paladin en-masse to counter their foes' vessels, to provide a lighter alternative to the reliable but bulky Templars. The Paladin has bred a new type of pilot who ridicules the Templar and its loyalists.

[font=Arial Narrow]The B-1290
[font=Arial Narrow]Heavily modified version of the Crusader, named the Templar, is the latest addition to Bretonia Armed Forces. Very heavy fighters of this type are built in an effort to stop Corsair expansion into Bretonia space. Armor capacity of this ship is rumored to be superior to any other very heavy fighter in Sirius, however, just like Corsairs' Titan, it lacks maneuverability.
[color=#CCCCCC]2 Class 9 Guns
[color=#CCCCCC]4 Class 10 Guns
1 Cruise Disruptor OR Fighter Torpedo
[font=Arial Narrow]The B-3000
[font=Arial Narrow]When the war against Kusari started in 814 A.S., the Bretonia Armed Forces had no bombers to counter numerous Kusari capital ships that invaded Tau-31. Bretonia engineers had only two years to design and start building a new Bretonia bomber, and they have outdone themselves. Based on the Templar very heavy fighter model, the Challenger is one of the most powerful bomber crafts available in Sirius. Although expensive and not yet numerous, this bomber has already proved effective in battles against Kusari destroyers and gunboats.

[font=Agency FB]The Way Of Life [size=small][color=#FFFFFF]►
[font=Arial Narrow]
[color=#66CCCC]We know where you sleep.
It's true, we do know where you sleep. We're also keeping a close eye on everyone that acts suspicious or gives a valid attempt to cause harm to a fellow Constable, Officer, or Agent of the Crown, as well as civilians. Section Five agents have been known to make people disappear for the wrong look, and they won't hesitate to do so.
[color=#66CCCC]Questions and Answers.
When a Section Five agent is asking brief questions, don't make them repeat themselves constantly, nor give them an attitude. They have some more important things to do, such as catching that terrorist or spy you just let escape. It's simply better to politely tell them what they need, and go on with your life.
Unidentified Blue Objects.
Don't stare at them. Please. It makes our jobs harder when we're trying to contain the threat.
Annoyance.
Don't be annoying. It tends to get you shot.

[font=Agency FB]Guidelines For All Operatives & Agents [size=small][color=#FFFFFF]►
[font=Arial Narrow]
[color=#CCCCCC]MI5 Agents are to keep off of system communications. Only Senior Operatives or IAIU Agents are allowed to say things on the system communication.
[color=#CCCCCC]Keep an eye out on Newcastle.
Alien threats are to be removed as quickly as possible (Morphs are an exception to this.)
Anyone with a Letter of Marque is exempt from being arrested. Ignore them if you see them pirating. This only applies for the Queen Carina Privateers.

[font=Agency FB]Known Operating Zones [size=small][color=#FFFFFF]►
[font=Arial Narrow]The following is a list of authorized space, pay attention to the color coding of this section for more information. Areas marked in Green are free operation zones. Areas in [color=#FFFF99]yellow are influenced zones, and areas marked in [color=#99FFFF]blue are known to be zones in which IAB ships have used guerrilla tactics against aggressive Kusari forces and/or aggressive Corsair forces, authorization by the Director and DIS are needed before operating in these areas. Areas marked red are no fly zones, unless an active mission (IE: Escorting a diplomatic ship) was granted for the area. Any agent caught in this areas without expressed permission will be charged with war crimes and treason. Section Six Agents have free reign of these locations as long as it's part of their current mission objective.
IAB Crafts will require authorization from the Director to operate in all zones that are not marked green.

[color=#CCCCCC][font=Arial Narrow]Seeing as unofficial factions cannot recruit openly on the forums, I'm going to simply take a little idea that was implemented with another unofficial Intelligence Agency. An in-character skype interview with the Director and Deputy Director.
Won't outrightly kill your character like, the BDM might do in their interview, but we will have the right to kick you out of the interview if we feel the necessity to do such. Above basic English, and knowing how to formulate sentences and basic knowledge of roleplay is something I'm looking for. Meaning, yeah you might not be the best English speaking person around, but you can get your thoughts through clearly, and you at least know how to roleplay.
The point of the interview will be to impress us, simply put.
What is this? A faction creation request? If so...
... I just can say:
Quote:Leadership → Wolfs Ghost
lolno?!
All the oorp rage and hate, insults, powergaming, metagaming again?
No thanks.
Edit: I've been told to add something "constructive". Well, let's do that:
The IAB) didn't work last time and was a source of great oorp problems. There were reasons why it vanished. Lots of. Most of them oorp and not nice.
I don't see any change in the relaunched faction that suggests improvement, so I don't see why it should succeed this time.
Furthermore especially the leader is not capable of leading a faction as he is not even capable of solving the smallest ingame problems without a barrage of oorp insults and hate. You don't believe it? PM me on skype and I will show you how questions are asked and problems are "solved" Wolf's Ghost style.
Yes, please. I would like to see this faction alive and rocking.
Also.
Since we're talking of Murphy more than of the faction itself, I would love to see him leading it. Not like I got any reasonable suggestions, and, to be honest, I still see the Kempetai of the old times (you know what you're about) as a level that none of intelligence factions managed to achieve, so another try would come handy.
' Wrote:If you have nothing constructive to say, don't post.
I added something "constructive" to my 1st post, even though I think that a direct warning is something constructive. It helps to avoid mistakes, projects to succeed and thus even negative criticim can be constructive.

1) You don't need to have permission to create a faction. You need permission to create an official faction which this is not yet due to it being in this forum section.
2) Never hate on one person openly like that, its a jerk thing to do. Keep it to yourself.
3) I'll be helping the IAB, I got the BDM official, I'll be more forceful in assisting Wolf getting this faction official. Wolf and myself spoke on skype on the errors of the old IAB and ways we can improve them. It won't be a failure this time round.

to revive the IAB as well as the KPT would be a great Idea, even if both messed up with me back in my old [KNF] times. Especially when creating the KPT I would be in, too.
Squished bigly ~Champ- Thanks, you're a champ. "What's the word for when it feels inside your heart that everything in the world is all right?"
