Lance looked around the bridge and then concentrated on the main monitor "Set Condition One, Battle-stations, Arm weapon banks 1-12, Load Mortar tubes one and two." Lance was cut off "SIR HEAVY MORTARS INBOUND ON OUR POSITION!" Ensign Hellier yelled from the weapons console. Lance Hesitated for a second then snapped out of it "Get everyone out of non-essential sections then vent those sections once sealed, Evasive maneuvers come 020 to port, fire the starboard maneuvering thrusters!" Lance commanded quickly. One moment later two heavy mortars hit the Las Vegas' starboard engine cowling sent her into a spin that allowed a second mortar to hit the port bow. "STATUS REPORT!" Lance yelled. Hellier was on the deck crumpled into a heap. "Lieutenant Rommius Report!" Starboard engine down, Shields at zero, Weapons not responding, Decks four and eight have breaches along their aft.......oh god."
