Bonjour Rorry!
As you might have noticed or not, I am currently the new leader of the Council. First of all we appreciate your work against the Royalists. Every help is required to push the threat back and to finally end the oppression. We have already gained lots of friends and allies that are fighting for our side against the threat. More and more are coming daily to support our revolution. Mercenaries, freelancer, even the Colonial Republic joined us to fight the new threat. And there we are... we came to the topic I actually wanted to talk about... the Colonial Republic. I have heard reports of your men attacking vessels of the Republic... that is unacceptable for us. We need their support against the Royalists and if individuals like you decide to attack them, it automatically hurts the revolution and our efforts for an end of the oppression. To be honest, I don't care much about your relation to the Republic, but we need their help and they need our help. And it would look odd to see your men using our technology, our weapons, against the Republic. I can't allow that... there is only one solution for this issue. You will have to cease the hostile attentions towards the Republic, or simply use your own technology for that, but not ours. If you agree on that you will get the permission to the weapons you are requesting. But if you agree and still decide to attack the Republic with our technology we will have to take measures. And I can assure you, they won't be comfortable... Anyway, I look forward to your response. Until then!
After much thought, the Renegades have come to a conclusion that we will both agree to I believe.
1: The Renegades will not use Council technology against the CR or the IMG within Tau space. It shall be used against enemies unrelated to the Council.
2: Renegades will not engage in hostilities in the Tau systems while vessels tagged [C] are present.
3: If the Renegades OR the Council is questioned on the means by which the technology was acquired, both sides will deny knowledge on how it was obtained.
4: Allow my brother, Alan Write, to take a look at the requested technology blueprints, so he may configure them to our Pirate vessels in the far corners of space. A place known as Rheinland.
Along with this we offer 100 million credits to show our support to the fight against the Royalists. You have but to tell me where to send it...
the man looks quite pent up, as if he'd been working and focused on one thing for a very long time. It is evident by his surrounding that he is a researcher or technical engineering of some sort... he looks to the screen.
Members of the Council, my oh my what a mess my brother has gotten himself into...
Seems you thought you could self destruct your technology after a discrepancy over in the Taus... Well rest assured I've countered such attempts. If your traps had indeed gone of you would have stricken a mighty blow against the Renegades. And I give you my praise at such intricate planning you placed into it... But onto the subject of this message.
Though we have broken our agreement to keep hostilities down in your presence, the Renegades do wish to reconcile with the Council... My brother was foolish in his words when he made such an agreement with you, and he kept several things hidden. So allow me to bring to light the True Renegades.
We hunt the Colonial Republic, plain and simple, just as we hunt the Independent Miners within the Taus. They are your allies, and we are paid to kill them. I wont sugar coat it...
Now then, the positive... We hate Royalists, Gator and his Mercs hold a special hatred for them. We'd kill em for free if we had to, they're in infestation. Such a leader should never be in place, and should be removed. We're actively doing so by hunting for the Brigands... Because of our relations with you, and the respect for your movement (though not you choice of allies), we have refrained from ever harming a Gallic Civilian. And do not plan to...
Now for more negative... Outcasts, yes we deal with them. Not in their drugs mind you, but they pay a handsome sum for the deaths of their arch enemies, the Corsairs.
Now then, I have been openly honest with you. But do not think that "A friend of my enemy is also my enemy." I believe we can find middle ground...
In the past, the Outcasts have attacked your vessels, and in return, you have attacked the Outcasts. Due to conflicting interests, our members present stepped away from the conflict. I believe a deal such as this should be put down in stone. If your members can refrain at all costs, conflicts which involve the Renegades and the IMG/CR in the Tau's. We will also, avoid conflicts between the Council and the Outcast nation at all costs.
Shall we suffer due to our relations that are of unrelated reasons?
We wish to work out a more.... "Workable" contract. And to retain our previous status... If any of this appeals to you, let me know. We can draw something up...

Bonjour monsieur Write.
It seems our intelligence have made a mistake in your ability to product our technology, never mind.
We don't like getting double crossed. And no, we are not naive everything you said was quite obvious to us from the deal itself. I may only say I am surprised to hear that you do not deal with cardamine - a small point of light in our relationship you might say.
What we want is that you will destroy any council weaponry production plant you have. If you do so the newer models will be supplied to you, this time you will find that they are harder to crack-open.
After you have done so, we will give you the conditions that the weaponry programming will cause to a malfunction - permanent one. Now failing to do so will show you my real mean side, Council got more influence than you think - and I am confident that you are well aware of it.
After speaking with the more influential members of our group, we have decided that we cannot risk the lives of our men by allowing you to place such explosive devices on our ships.
We still wish to come to terms, but until we do, we are pulling our mercs out of Tau space. So until we can come to an agreement you will not have to worry about ROE with our ships...

Bonjour monsieur Write.
Pulling your ships out of the Tau sector will improve things, oui.
And I am confident that the new models don't have explosive devices, instead they have a built-in friend-foe system of the Council, with the ability to add foes and friends besides the hardcoded ones.
Well, with the blueprints you gave me I am rather close to exacting their inner workings. Such devices would be obsolete on the tech we already have...
BUT, if there is any new tech. Perhaps allowed to us if we agree to pull out from the Tau's indefinitely. We will have no problem with you placing mechanical failure devices on them. This will give us incentive to keep our agreement...
---=--=-=Transmission Ends=-=--=---
(//basically, the Falcons/Falconets, and GB guns will never be lost, but new tech CAN be. Giving us reason to keep our agreement.)
