Have the unlawful factions been breeding like rabbits?
I mean, routes that I used to run without being stopped once now present me with 3-10 stops, each demanding millions. Some might say, "hire escorts". The problem is that It's nigh impossible to find lawfulls willing to escort you, given that 80% of players are pirating someone.
just join pirats. Make some friends then do some power trade. Tell x to kill y
And tell y to kill x then
Tell w to kill x+y. It allways works. But it takes some time. And its better than timezone thing.
My route takes about an hour to complete, and gives 7 million in profits with my current transport. If I'm pirated five times on that trip, that leaves me only two million in profit. Sure, I could always take the long way, but that would double, maybe triple, the total time.

I don't recall being pirated more than twice on a 7M trade route. Maybe you're doing something wrong.

This was the last route I did.
Pirate 1: New York, stopped by a Rheinlander. Had to pay a hefty sum.
Pirate 2: California, at the NY-California jump gate. That's right, I was pirated twice in less than five minutes.
Pirate 3: Kyushu, by a Bretonian. Getting pirated by "Allies" sucks.
Pirate 4: New Tokyo, by a gang of Hogoshas.
Pirate 5: Galileo, by a Xenos.
After that I logged off, and I haven't gone on since.
