Reason: I saw a player (pivo) that I suspect is a pirate, so I immediately entered panic mode and tried to hit my Escape key (to leave the trade lane, so I could retreat back to the safety of Riverside Station), but I accidentally hit F1, then I tried to hit Escape again (to leave F1) only to accidentally hit the on/off switch on my Acer laptop that is very close to my Escape key (one feature that I absolutely hate about my laptop) that turned off my computer as I'm cursing (though nobody could hear me). When I booted my computer up again, Freelancer wouldn't connect to the Internet and my copy of MS Office claimed that it couldn't connect to the Internet, either. I rebooted and restarted Freelancer and found Juan.Williams unharmed between the last two trade lane rings near the New York gate (I really thought that pivo would've killed me when I got disconnected).
