First one was Lieutenant from Bretonia Armed Forces. He said Carina "does a good job" but to be honest I did not expect anything else. But I he told me one thing which suprised me. Queen Carina gave them "free hand". That confused me. She gave free hand to army. What can we expect from it?
Then I spoke with miner from Bretonia Mining and Manufacturing.
He did not know what to think about her. But he said he cares more about his superiors than about the Queen. He also mentioned another interesting thing. He said that BMM is funding "most of the royal forces". That smells like corruption to me.
Last citizen I spoke with, was a Molly separatist.
He did not know much about the Queen too. But he did not trust her. He told me he was pirating but when I spoke with him about it, he was willing to change, so I told him about Coalition ways of helping people. He seemed interested. Everything is recorded on this datapad with analysis too.
So my results from this challenge is that I lost my trust, to be honest. Free hand for army, corporations funding them and hungry Molly separatist doesn't look like a right thing to me."
Khan rubbed his brow, "this is your second time in my office, and your second time applying to the Coalition... and yet you continue to fail to understand the basic concept of Communism, under which, the Coalition Operates."
Teresa walked back into the room, and stood straight, the copy of the Manifesto still in her hand.
"I have done as you said...I read over this many times, and I think...I have an answer."
A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.
Teresa swallowed, and took a small breath.
"The core message..."
She took a deeper breath, and began to speak.
"Revelution is not, cannot, be incited by a single person, instead, it must be incited by the masses, properly educated, who are the only ones able to create true change among themselves. The working class who are downtrodden and forced, to rise up and fight for their own rights."
She stood completely still, staring at the gun, waiting for death or confirmation.
A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.
She blinked, caught slightly off-guard by the question, which she did not quite understand the wording of.
"Uhm...I..."
She looked down for a moment, the look on her face was hard as she searched her mind for an answer. She closed her eyes lightly, before looking over at Khan.
"Teach the people the truth, free them from their lies, so they might stand up against those who oppress them." she said, a sense of finality falling over her as she uttered the last word.
She blinked, her eyes twinkling slightly as she stared down the barrel of the gun.
A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.
"You're not right for us," Khan said, lifting the revolver and nodding to the door.
"Go now, learn more, return when you have found a fire of passion and a will to be in the Coalition."
He followed her out into the reception, picking up the paperwork that Mikhail had submitted, shaking his head as he read over it.
"No... no... and no," he said looking back over his shoulder. "The fact that Captain Alvarez is fond of you will only carry you so far, but misunderstanding some of the fundamental questions in this package is something I cannot over look. Go, fly with the RHA for a while, listen and learn... maybe in a few months you can try again."
Mikhail nearly spat in the face of the Comissar right then and there, but remembering that it'd just result in his death, he simply uttered a sound of disgust. "Pueh!" He rubbed his mouth, scowling. "So that is it then? Because I do not know everything in the history of the Coalition, I'm rejected?" He was becoming quickly angry. "So because I am not a historian, a thinker, or an intellectual, I cannot join your ranks? Perhaps I should know everything, but I do not. There is far too much for one man to learn in a reasonable amount of time." He rubbed his eyes, trying to calm down. "If my loyalty and willingness to fight to the end for the Coalition is not enough; If flying of my own accord with your men to assist them in battle without so much as receiving an order from them is not proof of my adherence..." He regained his composure. "..Then I see no point in returning. I will go back to my simple life of a working man, and forget about this all."
