It was already half past nine when the Reunion, Doctor Janus Pitt's mobile lab, reached Ames Research Station. The station where they would work together with The Corona Battle Group, a dedicated organization hailing from Liberty. Normally these kind of meetings wouldn't take place in the first place, for Cerberus originated from the Omicrons and was affiliated with The Order.
However, the two leaders of these organizations knew that they should conduct their business for mutual benefits. The Corona Battle Group had acquired an unusual specimen that could lead to a new scientific breakthrough. They had, however, lost their lead scientist some time ago, he had suddenly disappeared. Cerberus, on the other hand, had Doctor Janus Pitt, a dedicated scientist with years of experience in xeno biology.
Knowing both of the organizations could benefit from this cooperation, maybe even mankind as a whole could benefit, they cast aside old grudges and decided it was for the greater good.
Moments after the Doctor and his crew had arrived Colonel Joe Daniels transmitted to Commander O'Neal the following.....
Commander O'Neal,
It is my pleasure to inform you that Doctor Janus Pitt and his crew have successfully arrived at Ames Research Station. They have brought along two escorts; one Ensign of us, his name is Henry Cooper and a Libertonian mercenary, his name is Ezio Montana. Do not worry, the mercenary is to be trusted. We have had dealings with him in the past.
I am also informing you that Doctor Niels Bohr is also on the way and could arrive any time soon. If you could be so kind as to greet my men at the docking bay. It's not every day we set foot into locations such as these.
Commander, I wish you the best of luck with the research and you will probably hear from me soon.
Regards,
Colonel Joe Daniels.
In the docking bay, the final stages of the mooring process were completed and the crew could set foot onto Ames Research Station.....
After listening to recorded message, O'Neal leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes and took a long breath.
He took a look around mountains of papers on his desk... "I used to be a pilot" he whispered...
He activated his console and chose Admiral Orias' ID.
Admiral,
Our guests from this independent Order taskforce I was telling you about has just arrived. Would you like to give them a welcome?
On the other console, he chose Independence comms ID and "record and send" option.
Doctor Jefferson,
Our guests from Cerberus group has just arrived on Ames. You might want to contact them here in your free time.
He leaned back again focusing on video connection to Admiral Orias.
In her quarters aboard her ship, Scarlet raises an eyebrow questioningly at the comunication from O'neal, having been interupted half way through a report. Placing the shief of papers back onto her desk, and pressing the small return button next to the screen, she takes a moment to collect her thoughts.
"Thank you Commander... Please give them my... Heart-felt, welcome, and do be helpfull. Give them a personal tour of our works, hm?"
Smiling to herself as she cuts the link, cutting off any retorts or protests. She knows full well he'll likely as not dislike such a burden.

Seeing the connection has been terminated, Mike grabbed comms terminal and smashed it against the wall swearing loudly. After few more moments of swearnig, he calmed down, logged on his personal workstation and began writing.
Three minutes later two sheets of old fashioned paper came out of his printer. He grabbed those and walked out of his office.
Seeing his furious face, everyone moved away from his path as he was moving through corridors towards Orias' office.
He walked in without knocking.
Admiral,
I'm sorry to tell you that, but you will have to find another workhorse soon.
As of me, it's either this... or this.
He placed two printed paper sheets before her. The first was 6 months holliday leave pass starting next monday. The second was his resignation.
Now I will let you consider those two options while I welcome our guests.
Walking through the corridors down to hangar bay, Mike was trying to calm down. It wouldn't be nice to welcome guests while still mad at his CO. He began planning his holliday. No matter what will Orias say, he's gonna go for some trip.
Maybe Orbital Spa and Cruise has some nice trips in their offer... Let's say... a month on one of their liners and then a month or two of cruise around all the most beutifull places in Siruis?
Yes... this kind of thoughts cheered him up a bit. Enough to smile when he was exiting elevator on hangar bay level.
He took a look around to see where his guests are.
Onboard the Reunion, a man and a woman walk along a corridor, directed to the docking port; another man exits from a nearby elevator, holding a briefcase. They proceed in silence for a minute, then the bearded man with the briefcase sharply addresses the woman.
Lt.Shenoi: Captain, I must remark my objections; of course I would never doubt Colonel Daniel's judgement on this matter, but... Cpt.Gaiman: ...But you're doubting it. *smiles when the man tries to reply* Relax, Balavi. I would doubt the competence of any security officer who isn't even just a bit paranoid. Being concerned is your job; my job is deciding when your concerns can save us from troubles, or not. Lt.Shenoi: Yes, madam... But I'm not concerned without reason. The Corona Battlegroup is a former Liberty Navy task force; undoubtedly, they received the usual propaganda and indoctrination regarding the Order. I'm not sure that they will easily find the distinction between the Order and Cerberus. In the meantime, the bald man was seemingly lost in his thoughts, barely watching his steps as he typed furiously on his pad; he now raises his look from the screen to Shenoy's briefcase. Dr.Pitt: Oh, lieutenant, I see you brought the databank, good. Have you checked the seals? Lt.Shenoy: Yes, doctor. I assure you that I am able to do my job even without you remembering me every step. Twice. Every few hours. Dr.Pitt: I have every right and reason to personally make sure that my job is not hindered by any possible incident or mistake. As even you must certainly know, I deal every day with such hazards and threats that could endanger all of us, and possibly all of Sirius, if not treated with all the proper precautions! Lt.Shenoy: Here we are again... Doctor, you have my word that I will personally shoot you and incinerate your body, should you ever become infected. Cpt.Gaiman: Enough, you two. *taps a communicator on her wrist* Command bridge, this is Gaiman, we're at the pressure hatch. Bridge: Roger, captain. Initializing equalization protocols... all lights green, you may proceed. With a hiss and a clunk, the bulky pressure seals release their hold on the hatch, and the metallic panel slides laterally, disappearing inside the ship's hull. Intercom: Guest 305661, welcome to Ames Research Station... The voice from the intercom goes on elencating all the docking regulations and directions to customs, but the trio, climbing down the small ladder to the main docking bridge, finally meets with the Corona representative. Cpt.Gaiman: Commander O'Neal, a pleasure to make your acquaitance *offers her hand*; I am captain Rebecca Gaiman. This is lieutenant Balavi Shenoy, our security officer, and doctor Janus Pitt, xenobiologist and the lead scientist on our Nomad infection researches. Two engineering teams are currently preparing onboard the Reunion, they will be at your disposal to work on the peculiar difficulties you're having with the Junction.
What Mike saw, actually made him cheer even more. While shaking Rebecca's hand, he took a long look at her. He really enjoyed her tight jumpsuit.
Captain...
It's a pleasure to meet you in person.
I'm here to help you get comfortable in our labs... unfortunately, I will be of no use in research related problems.
Suddenly, he realised that he ignored two man completely
Doctor, Lieutenant... a pleasure to meet you.
Turned his eyes back to Captain. "Damn, this holliday might be not a good idea after all... Taking care about this pretty captain might be even more pleasure than OS&C trip..."
Let's get to labs. I will tell you everything you would like to know on our way there.
It had been a relatively quiet trip to Kepler, nothing too out of the ordinary and quite the change from being in his office where Neils spent most of his awake time. His research was his life and that was mostly spent in the confines of the University labs that were without sunlight. He glanced out a view port and caught a glimpse of the Liberty Battleship Rio Grande, first time in years he had seen one. He gazed at it, remembering his days in the Navy. How things were different thenhe thought to himself.
The captain called out and broke his gaze."We're entering the lane to the gate, Doctor"Neils frowned, he was enjoying his moment of reflection."Damn work always comes first, I think I need to take a break" he muttered to himself.
Moments later they were entering the queue for Kepler and again the familiar sensation of going through a jump gate took precedence. The other side was clear and so the lane was free. The Ahoudori thrusted towards the lane and docked with it. Seconds later they were in the vicinity of Ames, and the captain was communicating with traffic control. "We're here Doctor, that was a pleasant trip no?"The captain called"Yeah, yeah..."the Doctor replied.
The ship settled and the docking protocols finished, and as the airlock opened and into the gangway, he told his captain to gather his luggage. With his briefcase in hand he had arrived on the station.
As Doctor Bohr arrived at Ames Research Station Captain Gaiman received a transmission through her ear piece from Colonel Daniels....
Captain, Doctor Bohr has arrived at Ames. He is currently in the Docking bay and is about to departure from the ship. Tell Lieutenant Shenoy to dispatch a marine to keep an eye on Bohr. He is a valuable ally and we can't risk a possible assault. After all, we're awfully close to Liberty and they might not like our presence. Contact me once the research has started. Daniels out.
Strolling down the corridor to meet the Cereberus group, flanked by two guards. Scarlet holds her hand over her shoulder, pausing to recieve the paper handed to her and coming to a stop next to O'Neal. Holding the vacation form out towards him and wearing a vague frown, she speaks low to him.
"Your leave starts tomorrow, 4 months. Hadn't you better.go pack?"
Turning to the trio of visitors with a courteous smile, she holds out her hand towards Rebecca, the other still holding the paper out to O'Neal.
"A pleasure to meet you"
