I've been cruising around in my LR- tagged Bloodhound near the California-NY lane, when a [LN]- tagged Avenger popped out. I got some distance and the conversation started:
[24.03.2012 21:25:27] LR-Serious.Pacifist: *whistles*
[24.03.2012 21:25:32] LR-Serious.Pacifist: Is there a problem?
[24.03.2012 21:26:19] [LN]-censored: You're running the other way
[24.03.2012 21:26:31] LR-Serious.Pacifist: What way?
[24.03.2012 21:26:48] [LN]-censored: The not to your hidey hole way
[24.03.2012 21:26:55] LR-Serious.Pacifist: Why should I.
[24.03.2012 21:27:02] LR-Serious.Pacifist: You don't really look scary.
[24.03.2012 21:27:14] [LN]-censored: Coz i'll be all over you're arse if you don't
[24.03.2012 21:27:21] LR-Serious.Pacifist: Sweet.
Then a small chase started but it was impossible for him to catch me of course.
(Because; Bloodhound = Light Fighter.)
Then we were running around and provocating each other for a while. I didn't wanted to fight him of course, I mean he would have needed one shot to kill me... (Even Patriots > Bloodhound. That reminds me of that promise from the LPI, using Patriots.)
I just did what Rogues do: Checking lanes, and run when the Police comes.
But then he started going ooRP:
[24.03.2012 21:34:14] [LN]-censored: // Isn't that *cheating*?
[24.03.2012 21:34:37] LR-Serious.Pacifist: Hihi, we all do have our tricks.
[24.03.2012 21:34:46] [LN]-censored: No, we don't
[24.03.2012 21:34:54] [LN]-censored: And i can report you if i want to.
[24.03.2012 21:34:55] LR-Serious.Pacifist: Except for you then.
[24.03.2012 21:35:02] LR-Serious.Pacifist: To whom?
[24.03.2012 21:35:12] [LN]-censored: //admins
[24.03.2012 21:35:22] LR-Serious.Pacifist: Saying what?
[24.03.2012 21:35:27] [LN]-censored: You cheat
[24.03.2012 21:36:07] LR-Serious.Pacifist: What makes you think that?
[24.03.2012 21:36:08] [LN]-censored: //Win_all_day we have a cheater
[24.03.2012 21:36:17] [LN]-censored: // what do you suggest we do
[24.03.2012 21:36:45] [LN]-censored: //not you *laughs*
[24.03.2012 21:36:46] LR-Serious.Pacifist: Tz... drinking at duty.
[24.03.2012 21:36:51] The.Bilge.Pump: //*snap*
[24.03.2012 21:36:53] LR-Serious.Pacifist: You are drunk, right?
[24.03.2012 21:37:03] [LN]-censored: Aye, that must be it
[24.03.2012 21:37:18] LR-Serious.Pacifist: You're eyes are just too slow for my ship's speed.
At first, I didn't got it, what he meant by "And I report you if I want to.", because he said it without // and I thought, he meant a report inRP about that incident.
After that talk, I turned around and went off.
Here are two screenshots (name is censored of course):
(If the unedited screens, the whole log or the name is needed, PM me.)
I actually had no problem with that threating and uneccessary ooRP talking. And I also didn't wanted to file a report now just because of that, so I put it here into the feedback thread.
What annoyed me most, was, that he - as Navy 'soldier', was chasing a single and weak Rogue ship for quite some time, which just doesn't fit into a Navy RP in my opinion. That's the LPI's job.
Just today I also meet a LPI earlier, who just said: "Greetings Rogue." without stopping. Sure, I haven't done anything, and he didn't saw a threat in my Bloodhound. What I'm saying, is that I hate it, to be chased because "I'm red on scanner", or "having a LR-tag". If I got cought while robbing, shooting the lane or fighting someone - ok. Then a fight would be justified. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say.
So, that's all so far.
I wish, I could also say something positive, but I'm rarely having ineractions with the [LN] when playing my Rogues. RP interactions I mean. PvP... well, unavoidable sometimes.:)
PM me the name please. Accusing you of cheating is uncool.
However, on to the other point. The LN can and will shoot rogues for being rogues. Flying outlawed ships and being a member of an outlawed group. I'll be damned if I tell my people otherwise.

Your mistake here is regarding them as separate things.

Sure, I know that. Just saying, that I except some more words before chasing/attacking someone.
And yes, sometimes there can be PvP without much RP, and also good RP without any PvP. So why not regarding them as seperate things. Not always of course.
' Wrote:Del, I actually ran into a whole crowd of people claiming that lawfuls should respect a kind of No Fire Zone around Liberty Rogue stations as that's the only "free pirate bases" in Liberty. My main concern is not about the lines of out of roleplay in local chat as it's the fastest way to deliver a message to a number of people, but the whole nature of complaint directed at lawfuls after the unlawfuls/mercenaries led them to Rogue bases.
I'm the most curious as the LR player wasn't the first one to mention it lately, but it was a whole number of indie players who got the idea from someone else, as it seems.

All I needed to know, really.
Oh, and my only wish was to keep it out of the forums.
First said; I'm not whining, nor raging. I just want to have this discussed now, since we had this topic quite often now (Also in the LR Feedback thread). And people got tired of this. On both sides I guess. (Although Rogues never camp any Navy bases. At least I don't.)
Well, there has been this situation at Alcatraz today. I haven't been there, but I think Fidelius Screen speaks for itself.
Quote:that's the only "free pirate bases" in Liberty
Yes, sure. Didn't knew that before. But Del teached me better now. So you're "allowed" to camp Alcatraz for getting criminals busted. Fine.
But later, I was undocking my Bloodhound from Buffalo, wanting to have some fun with another Bloodhound pilot. And that's what I've seen after undocking (I didn't censored the screens since it wasn't a rule violation, I also don't want to complain at Sad now. It's just what happened. I also quoted the whole log, so nobody could say; I didn't gave the whole 'truth'. Sorry for the wall of text.)

[26.03.2012 19:58:44] LNS-Polaris: Confirmed.....stay Safe,
I'm not complaining about the Navy, chasing Rogues 50k's through the Badlands to Buffalo. I always tell indies to not do that. Because this base should acutally be a hideout which is even tarned as giant rock. (At this point: Well played Sad.) Maybe the whole thing was the Rogues fault. But come on, a LABC? Isn't it a pain to fly through the Badlands with caps? (But okay, he's not under your command. But I could imagine, that Aleesha told him to follow her. Or at least didn't told him to stay out.)
So the Rogue docked. His decision. I just watched the situation. Besides: I didn't called anyone to come and gank you away, I also didn't switched to a SHF or HF, to fight him. Anyways, right after the one docked, another one undocked. I told him, that I don't need any help. And I don't know who started the fire. However, the Rogue died after four minutes. I just docked then and waited until he was gone. So I can get away from Buffalo.
Don't think now; "Why whining about such unimportant situation?"
Because it isn't. Many people have complained about such behavior already. (And I think it also was a reason, why Alte got banned for a month when he raged about. Not sure about that though.)
What I want to say (and this goes also to all LNS pilots) is, that sometimes, it's just annoying to undock somewhere, and having a couple of enemies at the doorstep. This is no fun. Sometimes I think, that this is just provocating. Sure, this is just a game. If it's no fun - dock and do something else. I did. But it just repeats that often.
My solution, or better said; a well-meant demand: Please, don't fight near bases (that often). This goes also to the Rogue indies, who flee to a base. I was already thinking of shooting those Rogues, who lead lawfuls to our bases. Never did of course, but sometimes I wished, I could without having any consequences. And yes, it happens, that we do the same at lawful bases. But for us, it's suicide because of NPC cap patrols, and being short-handed (most times).
This is quite a lot text now. Sorry for that.
Just think about, I don't want to hurt anyone or want to start an argument. I just want to play here. Having fun! (Yes, this also includes: being shot by lawfuls every hour.:))
' Wrote:I don't really get what you're saying. Are you telling us -not- to chase criminals to rogue bases?
No.

Yes.
It's not about chasing them to our base. Do that, it's your job. Just don't camp there after you killed the object you chased (or it docked). Don't stay there and wait for people undocking. And for gods shake, don't lead capital vessels there. Tell them to wait outside of the Badlands. Every second time I undock from Buffalo, I see a capital vessel in range. (Ok, that is extreme, but it feels like every second time.)
The Navy chases them to the Base. Ok.
They kill them there. Ok.
They wait until they dock. Ok.
They stay there, camping, making it impossible to leave the place in one piece. Not ok.
Waiting for people to undock and engage them. Not ok.
Sure, maybe it wasn't intended.
And also; this is just mine (and others) opinion.
See it as hint. Not as complaint.
But I'm not actually talking about this incidient in special.
More in general. Because such behavior happened quite frequently now.
But ok, I guess I'll stop it here. I just wanted to have that said because it was something which annoys me now since months.
It's just feedback. No order to change something. It's your job to listen to it, or not. /edit: By that, I didn't meant, that you weren't reading it. I meant accepting it. Or taking it as constructive criticism.
All that shows me is that Aleesha Cooper was at Buffalo base.
Let me explain a situation that happens to me maybe once a week.
- I chase a rogue to Alcatraz.
- The rogue runs around the station for a bit (annoying), then either dies or docks (satisfying).
- Two seconds later, a different rogue undocks from alcatraz.
- That rogue thinks I'm camping the base, when infact I am not, and was about to leave as a result of the situation I was there to deal with, being already dealt with.
- I get complained at for camping an unlawful base.
