Neumann walks and looks around trying to find some drawbacks in it's structure
It was in his nature: War, killing, arguing. But in other hand discipline and sharp mind...Perfect qualities for Orbital Drop Shock Trooper
He was testing Lennox as he trying to realise what he must wait from this strange fellow
He noticed that Lennox walks almost next to Ensign...He smirks and started to talk
Neumann: So Herr Lennox... Nomads are very strange things and we're here to understand them.
Neumann: But what do you think about them...I think you have something to say
He looks back to the man, reducing the speed of his steps a bit.
"Well...I think I will tell you...but not here. I would like to try to connect all my thoughts and experience I have made to the research here. That would fit better...don't you think? But first of all I would need to gather my thoughts anyway...."
He turns around again, following the Ensign through the corridors.
A message is sent to the ear piece worn by Lieutenant Neumann...
Lieutenant, ease up on Lennox. We might not have a lot of background info on him, but he is to be trusted. He brought valuable cargo with him and he is an Agent of the Primary Fleet, no reasons to distrust him. However, I admire you're vigilance and It is a good thing. You should be more vigilant towards the many Libertonian aspects on this wonderful station. We are connected to the mainframe and are watching the station closely.
Yet again, Lennox is our ally in this endeavor. Treat him as such.
Daniels out.
And with a light bleep the transmission was terminated...
He sent message to QAI asking him to block exploits in his Armor
Neumann: I feel like we went 1000 miles
He have noticed 17 drawbacks is station structure, 5 cockroaches, 2 rats
Cockroaches are everywhere....same for rats....damn I swear I'll hunt for such big rats
Neumann: Boring, everything looks so smimilar
Neumann: Eeeh, after this station I'll visit Rheinland....At least will drink good beer and see good places
Another message is sent to the ear piece worn by Lieutenant Neumann...
Lieutenant.... We're tapped into the mainframe of the base, so we have eyes and ears in there. This has nothing to do with the equipment implemented in your armor, the way we are monitoring you right now is much more efficient. Watch out for that piece of floor right there, its a bit tilted and a lot of people fall over it.
Lieutenant Neumann takes a step to the right and sees that he avoided a loose tile on the ground...
So go ahead and block the exploits of your armor, my friend. Good luck!
Daniels out.
And with a light bleep the transmission was terminated...
Mike takes a short glance on people gathered in his office. Sudennly, he notices remnants of his comms terminal on the floor. He walks to it and kicks it under the table.
So... I guess we can - or at least have to - trust eachother. Now let's get to more delicate matter of Liberty Navy and the problems that they might cause.
He sits on the edge of his desk and starts playing with his CB signet.
The first problem is that the Navy wants Drum back. They sent us a message that they dispatched a transport to collect him and take him away.
He pauses for a while...
The second issue we have with the Navy is our flagship. As you know, the Pride is Liberty Assault Carrier. We got it back when we was still part of the Navy. She was a piece of junk basically. We repaired her and refitted one of hangars with all the research stuff our scientists need. When we were kicked from the LN, they requested all the ships was handed back to Virginia.
As you can imagine, giving back our flagship is something we can not afford.
Oh... by the way... we could use one of your Osiris class vessels if you had one for sale. We need some escort for the Pride as we stripped it from most of combat equipment...
Ah, well, but that's not the point...
So... We have Drum here - in the middle of some tests. We have LN transport coming this way to collect Drum - against our will. And we have our situation with the Navi kicking our butt and expecting us to kiss theirs...
What we also have what I didn't mention is an old, spare BWT and two or theree Wasupu fighters we don't really need.
So basically - what we figured was to stage a nice show for our libertonian friends.
He stands, walks towards a locker in wall and opens it. It proves to be a fridge. He takes out a can of something that looks like typical soda but when he opens it, Liberty Ale smell spreads around the room.
Drink? Anyone?
So...
We want Cerberus to take over Drum. But in a specific way. We want to hit two birds with one stone, as they say.
Our plan is basicly to arrange all the meeting to look like - no offence - the Order was kidnapping Drum. We'd send BWT and two fighters on remote control out to meet the Navy transport. We'd fake some docking systems failure - or perhaps sabotage - on BWT so it had to run for it when Order forces shows up. Our fighters would "fight off" your snubs away from LN transport and, well, you'd be free to destroy those. In the meantime, BWT would run away towards one of clouds in system where secon Order task force would wait - and destroy it. The LN transport would either dock on Ames or run away - it doesn't really matter.
We'd transfer Drum away from Ames either before or after this action. We'd also officially accuse the Navy of selling us to the Order. We'll say that the information about Drum's transfer was leaked on purpose - to allow Order taking him and cause his sister work for the Navy against Order.
This would also be a reason to accuse 'em of our failure in defending Drum because we had to give all the combat worthy vessels back to them.
And it would be a reason for us to refuse to give the Pridde back.
Lennox shrugs and looks back at Neumann. He reminds him of the young people who always complained about the duration of a flight or something similar. He just smiles, speaking polite.
"I guess we are there soon. Just some minutes I think...right Ma'am?
