So anyway, I signed on last night and noticed something was missing... All my weapons and money! Heavens no! Someone promptly informed me to check the bulletin boards to see if I had been sanctioned, and sure enough, I had. :$
That would be fine... If it were for something I actually did. The post says my partner and I re-engaged a level 5 player in Alaska and revenge killed him. Erm, my partner, Avatar_[Bounty_Hunter], and I, Archon_[Bounty_Hunter] were in a Battleship and and Destroyer, respectively... By this post I am to believe a level 5 Starflier attacked us somewhere during the day... and killed us? What?!?
To make things worse, someone from a battle we had that day chimed in and said we were re-engaging in another system also? Which is really what this post is about, because I am thinking they were the same person or friends or something. There was a huge battle where we eventually got toasted and when we launched some of the attackers were waiting outside and started shooting us again. After telling them to stop several times to no avail, even in CAPS--Gosh ;-), we shot back. After we killed one, he said we re-engaged and told us he was going to tell on us. :rtfm: I am guessing he did. ;-(
Does this happen often? What's a good RP Player do in these situations? Whining to the server admins all the time seems... non-RP, and silly.

Since you've asked. First, report back to the admin that sanctioned you, privately. Seriously, the rest of the community can't help you in such cases and stirring up opinion to favor you won't get the admins attention (or maybe it will, but you may not like the results). Just for reference:

If the player respawns in the same system, he/she must leave the system without engaging. Other players are not allowed to attack one who is leaving.
So, if such a thing actually happened, PM an admin and work things out.

Right, right. My purpose was not to stur up the rest of the community in order to get something back. I am fine with the sanction. My question was more about being shot at after you are killed, and what to do about that. Thanks for the reference. I don't care enough to follow up with the Admin. I am sure they got enough to worry about...
Right then, so on that note we done with this? I think so. If you want to argue a sanction, PM an admin. If you want to report rule breaking, file a violation report. Please do not publicize either circumstance.
