One thing I mentioned to yuri about that design was that I dont like the 'disconnected' fins/wings/leafs on the back, they should be attached to the hull, not floating as if by magic.
-Marduk-style intake tubes between the wings/fins/leafs
-Added detail to the front/mouth/forward gun area
-Add skeletal structure inside the ship
Then we'd have something workable I think.
Overall I think it's a good design, and I like how the whole thing looks like one giant cannon - exactly what I was aiming for with a smaller version of the nomad suncrusher. It also fits the long range siege weapon role of cruisers in disco.
Now if we could just get a response back from mjolnir on adding a nomad cruiser forward gun for 4.86...
EDIT:
Luis, suggestion on the wings/fins/leafs, though - currently you have the 'notches' in them shaped like a V, whereas it should be shaped more like a U. Refer the nomad bomber in the proposed images on page 1. The wings/fins/leafs could also stand to be a bit wider.
On Luis's model. I think that Nomad ships should be more "smooth". The ridges in the ship doesn't exactly fit the Nomad style. If you were to smoothen out the ridges, it would be excellent.

On an unrelated note...

Don't go [color=#FFFF00]nuts with the design - nomad ships are fairly simple and elegant.
Transparent didn't came the way i liked it to be, but atleast we can see the skeleton and nomad chamber.
Non-Transparency: (this actually was the first render i took before i change few thing on the model with transperency... hence the nose (foward gun "sun-crusher")
Edit: Texture are not coordinated in place; hence the blur or smudges.
