However my trader char name is .transport and ive had a couple of people come looking for me because i am a trader. Were they supprised when I actually had a cruiser at the time..LOL. but still its unfair to look at the persons name in chat see they a transport and then zoom of there to pirate them.

Mate you read things that are not even there. Who said you cannot pirate trade lanes? For that matter Jump holes or Jump gates? I never said police or military should be limited to trade lanes bases/planets either!

Never said YOU said it. I (me) said that police and military should be limited IF pirates are. I'm tired of non-pirates telling pirates how to RP and then going off and doing whatever the heck they want (regardless of RP). Non-pirates (specifically traders) need to concentrate on their own RP before they worry about mine. Take the plank out of your eye before you try to pluck the speck out of mine.

We need stronger defences at bases to avoid players siting on top of a ase and blasting away in a Battlecruiser etc. You hear it on the comm channels.....just go sit t so and so base and blast away....very OOC.

As to pirating...I play as a trader often (admitedly to get credits and not RPso much) and pay the pirate if i dont think i can get away. Its part of the game. There is no way in RP to know what a char was flying or even where they are.

As to revenge...well take it as it comes....its part of the risk a pirate takes.

ratman ... Your trader is one of the reasons we end up with these discussions. You trade so you do not have to RP so much? EVERYTHING here is RP. I understand nearly 90% of traders on this server do exactly what you just wrote ... they trade to support their other players and to avoid RP ... and then when a pirate bothers you, you cry for stronger defenses and limitations on where pirates can be. So what do you expect us pirates to do ... twiddle our thumbs??? You traders are on crack if you think its ok for you to act like this and then dictate how a pirate should act.

Yes and I said Lawfuls should not be able to venture so close to unlawful bases and sit their either. I seem to have to make the same point again and again. I don't think you have a plank or a speck in your eye! I think you wilfully choose ignore others opinions just so you may continue to say..

"Plan on spending the night" or "Don't plan on going anywhere soon."

We are talking in circles ... I think we can drop the subject now since I'm not going to wait in open space for traders that won't show up. I do kill trade lanes, but if there are 3 lanes coming from a planet and I don't know which one the trader is gonna take, I'm gonna hang around the planet (probably about 5k out) and move in to engage when the trader undocks. Too bad that the NPCs are not strong enough to take me out ... not my fault. At least they are RED with me and DO attack me. And the battleship groups are capable of taking me out. But they don't follow me around like player characters do.

So ... you wanna stop me? Be there to do something about it. And until the admins declare an "official rule" on this ... I'm gonna ignore any and all complaints about my RP since my RP is sound (whether you like it or not). When traders change their ways, I'll change my approach to staying clear of planets and bases.
