OK first of all, heres what happened earlier to my trader...
I was moving through leeds in my (Universal tagged trader), when a pirate (Outcast tag) stops me and demands money. In the end, I ended up escaping, and once I was away from him, I stopped next to a (Interspace Commerce) tagged ship. ( some sort of gunboat/destroyer), who promply opens fire out of nowhere and kills me.
Now, he had a Red Hessian ID or Outcast on, but still belonged to an allied Faction, thus in RP terms I should have been safe.
Now my question, which do you look at? The ID or Faction? Is he allowed to use a Trader Faction, to "trick" traders into thinking its safe, then killing them without saying a word?
Iâll carry this flag
To the grave if I must
Because itâs flag that I love
And a flag that I trust
The ID is the overriding factor here, a tag may be misleading but always scan someones ID.Their ship will also be a giveaway as to what Faction they are, unless they have an OORP ship.
send me a PM if you remember that name (at least vaguely...).... I found some 4 day old screens of him(if it's him) in New Berlin with that Tag/Id combination shieldrunning from 1 Fighter + 1 Bomber 2 times.
@Kress... no the worst one is shooting traders in a Cruiser without warning
Igiss says: Martin, you give them a finger, they bite off your arm.
