Can't claim to know much regarding Pecos other than it is the only other source of deuterium we know about in Sirius. Though it has yet to be exploited and if it was to be exploited that would present a real threat to our monopoly on deuterium here on Canaria.
I think the better question is who wouldn't be interested in taking over Pecos. Pecos' deuterium represents the only real threat to breaking the monopoly that we Zoners have on the deuterium market. Bretonia would have moved for Canaria herself if it wasn't for the wars with Kusari and Gallia.
I can't lie, the idea of a Zoner controlled Pecos has its appeal; but that would cause an extreme rift between the Guild and ourselves and while credits are powerful.......out here in the edge friends are worth more.
If Silver wants to know who might be behind this discontenement she need but write down the names of the larger groups in that region; no doubt most if not all of them are behind it.
