All of my life, I have turned to music to help me through the tough times. There is just something about the notes and the spaces between the notes that speaks to my soul. Pink Floyd has always been a major influence for me. So full of emotion... I close my eyes and I am taken to another place... far far away from the trappings of this mortal coil... and for a time... I am free... We are all subject to the foibles of our human nature... no one escapes... But is it the destination or the journey? I'd like to think it is the journey itself that I value. When I love, I love with everything inside of me... unabashedly I cry, I rant, I rage... I laugh... and I am refreshed... I am alive... and when I forget who I am... I am reminded... in those notes and in the lyrics... and when I do get mad, I try to remember Lester Burnham's words at the conclusion of the film, "American Beauty";

I am en route to Baffin from Canaria. After a discussion with Midori and with a friend, it has been decided that I will be spending some time with those who need me most.......all of you. Honestly, I think we all need each other. I have promised Midori though that when we get things back together that I will spend more time at home, being a husband and a father to my three children. I don't need to keep a physical presence in Baffin to be able to keep things going although I will always make trips out there.
Kyte, a very nice tribute. When I get to Shasta, you should join me in the quiet side of the lounge where I can play a few pieces on the baby grand that's there. You name it, I'll play it.
Lastly, I have guest with me, someone important but please, keep it low keyed. He's coming to pay his respects too.
As you might know i've been captain of the Discordia orphanage ship since a couple of days. Our objective is to take care of the young victims of war who've lost everything. Besides looking after them we have many capable people on board who are constantly searching for a new home for these children and teenagers.
We're also trying to educate them as good as possible, anyway... that's not exactly why i'm transmitting at this point.
A couple of hours ago on our departure from Freeport 6 we picked up a distress signal. Upon arrival at the transmitter we found a mere escape pod, a model i've never seen before. We tractored it in and inside we found an unconscious young woman, she was wearing poor and torn up clothing, but we found something interesting between the few personal belongings she had with her. A small stitched badge, you know, the kind you sew onto a uniform, it looks like it has been torn of an old jumpsuit.
Anyway, I believe it's her name on the badge but i'm not quite sure, Emmanuelle Mimieux... Gallic Royal Navy...
She is still unconscious as we speak but to be safe i've locked her in one of the cells we didn't cozy up for the kids. I figure she will regain consciousness in a couple of hours and I thought it would be a good idea if someone with a higher position could come over to talk to her... at this moment I don't even know if she speaks any of the Sirian languages.
Ah well, that would be all for now, i'll keep you folks up to date on her situation and i'm looking forward to greet someone aboard my ship to interrogate her.

So you've captured a Gallic Royal? Do keep her secured but don't mistreat her. I speak their language and am currently en route to Baffin. I'll meet up with you when I get there.
And Joanna, it's been some time since I treated you for nausea. How are you feeling? I can bring some medication if you need it. Let me know.
Alright i'll set course to Baffin as well, won't take to long for us to get there.
The nausea... hmm... well as long as I don't make to many jumps in my Raven, i'm fine... But some more medicine would be a gift from Eris...
Oh I almost forgot, the Royal woke up.. *chuckles* "Royal" to be honest with you, I think she's a deserter or something, she speaks a bit of Bretonian but not much, well maybe you have more luck with her. I'm on route to the Skyhook as we speak, see you there Doc!

Administrator Summers is having issues with a group in the Omega 3 system that go by the Ghosts. It seems that they are blackmailing all Zoners. You may review the info here.
I've made TAZ's response known. If any of them attempt to pirate a TAZ tagged ship, I want to know who it is and furnish the guncams if you get them. I won't stand for such vermin. I'm in no mood these days for their shenanigans.

So I'm mulling around here on Shasta and figure I will get my ship painted. After this is finished I will not stand apart quite as well when we launch but, thats not a bad thing here. Ship will come out of paint job as [TAZ]Zephyr and is a Civilian bomber. Oh, I had a load of tobac sent for me too. Any word on them? I sent them with orders to be delivered to you. Wasn't sure when I'd arrive at that point.
I could really use a good smoke. Please let me know when it arrives.

Doc awoke in his chambers, sitting on the edge of his bed, his elbows on his knees with his head in his hands. After a few minutes or trying to rub out a pounding headache, he placed his hands on his knees, sat up a bit and looked around the room. It was then he realized that he had no recollection of how he got there.
"Damn you, Alvin," he said since the last memory he had was him teaching Alvin the game of Poker and many shots of Coalition Vodka. He then checked his datapad to see if his bank account was in order. It was. What he did find was several of his credit notes gone.
"Son-of-a-bitch!" he said aloud, "he learned too well." It was then he thought to himself, "he must be here somewhere."
He then got to his feet, continuing to rub his head as he exited his chamber door into the Administrator's Office that had been his for so long. Everything was in order so it seemed so he sat at his desk chair and began reading through his messages. As per usual, they were numerous. Sonja Korensky replied to an older reply of his, Commander Haddock arrived at Lividia with Med.Force.One safely and Grunder Industries sought an OK from him for the use of a Corvo. Accordingly, he answered them all.
As he sat there continuing to rub his head, he saw the pictures that adorned his desk. The wedding picture of him and Midori, Reggie and Moira Waverly and of course, Mal himself.
"That needs to be larger and more properly displayed," he said to himself, "as in my wall in about a ten by fourteen." He then wrote it down as a thing to do.
He then got to his feet, found the shower and got ready for the day. When he left his office, he asked a porter, "Where is Premier Katz?"

First of all, I am in my Shasta Office and will be for a couple of weeks anyway as we try to make some arrangements for a final farewell to Mal. Some help there would be most appreciated. So if I seem a bit sour these days, well, I am. We need to keep flying and be the ever present bunch of Discordians we have always been.
Sister Joanna, I will deal with this pilot since I'm here. We need to set up a time to do so. If she is violent, well, I have some not quite human friends that will delight in assisting from Freeport 6.
Now, I want to know who is flying the ship: [TAZ]Eristic.Escalation
It's not listed under new ship requests and it apparently violated Rheinland law. That little incident will be costing the Temple Fund some credits. I expect to see the captain in my office pronto and I better not hear any excuses!
Speaking of new ships, I've seen the requests for them. I will get to them. Thank you for filing them.
Now, as a refresher for all pilots, I've enclosed some info for foreign house laws here.
Rheinland is transmission number seven. I don't want any more incidents with Houses.
