Lachina stepped inside the marketplace. It was crowded, it smelled with sweat and cheap alcohol. She pushed away people that got too close to her from time to time and looked for a familiar person. It wasn't hard to find Silver. People were careful not to get too close to her. The trails of blood were also unsurprising. She walked towards Silver and stood next to her.
"Does she really think we care why we should kill IMG?" she nodded at Foster standing above
Steve suddenly found himself in the middle of the crowd after listening carefully to Foster's speech. He kindly pushed people away so he could walk a few meters forward. He cleared his throat before raising the voice to address Ms Foster. "Okay, I think we all got the part about the Guild intending to eventually apply their laws in the Barrier Nebula, but why wasn't the Colonial Republic mentioned yet? I mean, come on, they've got a shipyard sitting at Yuma's orbit plus a couple of settlements in Pecos... And they aren't even considered a threat for Coronado's independence? The miners can keep mining in their icy rock, but the Colonials? They've got a dedicated military, battleships included! But everybody here already knows that, aye?"
Leo van Pelt stepped out of the doom and gloom of his corner wall, cleared his throat and began to talk, gesturing towards the previous speaker, Steve
"I lead a small group of independent Junker fighters and transports, and must agree that the Colonial forces must be taken into account here. I have seen them out in number, organized, in strong gunboats that have interfered with my dealings and transit through this system on several occasions. Unless we are capable of meeting the miners and colonials with overpowering forces, day in and day out, frontal assaults on them will be futile. As has been mentioned, they have a shipyard after all, and will continue to interfere with the affairs of any who pass through their system."
Leo rapped his fingers briefly on blaster, pausing for his next words
"We should at least try talking to them first off. Make the miners and their apparent friends the colonials understand that we free men wish to be just that, free. Able to go about our affairs without issues and without checkpoints from either force. If, and only if talks fall through, a more violent affair would have them see reason"
He grins slyly
"Ms. Foster? You proposed posting a bounty on the vessels that threaten the independence of us all? Extend that to be Sirius wide. Every miner, both official and affiliated, would be targeted without mercy. From Coronado to the Taus to the Omegas, we would hit them. Free men are all over Sirius, Ms. Foster, and those of us who are truly free know it takes pen and photon to keep it. Facing these losses from their very core business, they, both the miners and their Colonial friends, would be forced to reconsider their meddling ways"
Leo leaned back against his wall, listening to the following commotion
Amusing. At least it had started, but still, it was amusing.
Evan nodded to the proposed bounties on IMG personnel; If it did go Sirius-wide, it would certainly be more entertaining.
The Pecos mining facility. Foster's proposal for removing the IMG presence from it sounded tempting- Heck, it was like holding cheese in front of a mouse! - But there was still one fact about the Colonials not mentioned.
"Say we plan to drive the IMG from Pecos. The 'Lonials have their own camps on the planet, so two things. What do we do about them, and... how might we rid Pecos of the morons in a single strike?"
Evan grinned at the possibilities; Certainly a... tactical weapon, would make headline-news regarding Coronado's independence somewhere.

*Izzy sighed, then slipped off the, stall and raised her voice.
"While the Colonial Remnant can be considered a threat to Coronado's independance, they have said multiple times that they only want to stay at their two corners and be left alone. If I may...would it not be better to avoid poking a sleeping dragon in the eye with a hot iron?"
Tobi went back to his PDA and linked the Intercom with his comms device again.
" I'm going to have to agree with this girl here " As Tobi pointed at Izzy. "We don't want to bite off more then we can chew, don't forget the Colonials are better armed then we are. It would be insane to even think of the Idea of a bunch of rag tag mercenaries to start shooting up a bunch of Colonials.
' Wrote:As much as I hate having to agree with Tobi, I agree with everything he said. Get off Newark and get out there ingame doing stuff. Seriously, I should charge you for parking
"I'm not suggesting such; I'm merely stating their own presence on the planet limit the options we have regarding the IMG. That's all."
Evan sighed at the Intercom being hacked into still, and leaned back against the wall again. So that's about a third of the opinions from those who are here; What do the others have in mind, I wonder? Or what else has been hacked into here?

Ash's Eagle lands on Barrier station, the news of the IMG's doing already reaching her long before from a Colonial contact.
She leaves her ship and sits right outside its hull and watchs the area
"And why should we trust the word of the Colonials?" He glared at Izzy.
"Why did they launch an attack against that base floating close to the Cortez jumphole? Why are they stalking the Barrier nebula looking for smugglers -better said, independent traders- coming from Baffin? They don't look like a sleeping dragon to me!"
Kohaku spoke up from the middle of the crowd. "But what about the houses? I'm sure they wouldn't like what seems to be a full-scale war to blow up a system away from their borders. They might come to help the IMG, and if we lose, we wont be accepted anywhere"
