How a BAF vessel could just leave a battle with KNF involved, in Tau-31. Yeah, I can really see a good way to RP that well....

Its also funny, because I had a fight with a KNF vessel, one of Mjolnir's characters I believe. He said I was lagging, but it was manageable. He had no problem with it from what I could see. Now I always go looking for a second opinion, Had he said to me. "Hey that lags really bad, I couldn't hit you at all" As I believe you said, well then I would have called it a day and left. But when that didn't happen, and he managed to take me down with reasonable haste. I drew the conclusion that there was no problem, as he'd managed to kill me by himself, surely two BSG's could do it.

Now thats fine, that you couldn't hit me due to lag, sure. What can I do. Just RP it for gods sake man! I'm not personally here for the PVP, it just spices things up a bit. I was on a Photo-recon mission and had no intention of engaging anyone.

Then again at Holman, You used yet more OOC in system chat, except this time you forgot the markers. Flogging me off as someone who was exploiting, or cheating, something of the like.

And while I was at Holman, the players I was grouped with said my lag wasn't that noticeable, and that I should not worry.

Now see that? You insulted me right there, we're even.

Ohh and while we're on the subject of attitude, and how much mine sucks. How about we consider this.

I have one of the fastest internet connections available in this country, besides living IN an ISP. I have a 7mbit/512k connection. No interleaving or filtering of any kind. Now that might seem like rubbish, but ask the few who frequent this server who also live in New Zealand, and they'll tell you its about as good as it gets. I was not downloading anything, I play freelancer with nothing else operating in the background, what so ever.
And the fact that you jumped so hastily to the conclusion that I was exploiting really shows something.

You may get 50 ping with a slow connection, good for you! really, honest.

But I bet you don't live about as far away from the server as you can get. I get an average ping of 290-300 to the server, And you're the first person to complain about my lag. Admittedly my internet was rubbish yesterday. But you drawing up all these conclusions, and ridiculing me for someone I'm not really isn't cricket. At least not until you have heard both sides of the story, which you now have.

Would have PM'd that, but then this would have stood as a one sided argument.

I never said you lag intentionally.
I never used OOC on system chat w/o markers.
If your buddies told you it's not noticeable, they lied to you man.
They lied to you badly.
You were, literally TELEPORTING around the screen.
And tell me this, is it correct that you were 200m away from Nagasaki, the only one from your group?
Everyone else remained on distance, so they don't get busted by it's turrets.
And one more thing. You tell me now that your average ping is 250-300.
But what did you tell me in front of Kyushu Jump gate? Do you want me to quote you? Here it goes :
"Is 70 ping too much for you?"

Now, for example, i play some games on USA servers. And i am from South Europe. I don't lag. I have a high ping, but i don't lag around.
What i'm telling you, LAG is fixable even if you live in New Zealand.
Ping has nothing to do with Lag. That simple.

What i said about your attitude was right, because of the next few facts.
You are teleporting across my screen.
I tell you that you are teleporting.
You tell me that your ship is too much for us.
That we can't hit it because you'r dodging good.
I mean, what was that? You know you are lagging, and you speak such things?
It's not a problem if 2 BSG could shoot you, it's a problem if they want to or they don't.
I don't shoot at people who lag around me.
Same thing goes for people who lag out for more then few seconds, and just float in space.
I don't execute them, i wait for them to come back.
And that's fair play.

7mbit/512k I believe this is ur problem. 7mb download means squat when u have just 512upload and u can clog it easily. You were lagging beyond comprehension mate and we both told u so! If u know you're this far from the server, fly Capital ships not fighters. You know lagging is your advantage, and using it against your foes, is just EXPLOIT!

so just my look on things....

I don't really see why BSG and QCO/SF/MKs should scream at each other.... it's unnecessary, looks stupid and once you get into the "must pwn them" mode the game is not fun for anyone around any longer.

I see a lot of screaming and under the belt hits from both sides...

Stratus was lagging very bad that evening... I killed him in his Arrow in Kyushu yes... but it was mostly due to him having so weak shields/hull... I told him he was lagging like crazy for me... and he said I was not lagging for him.... later in Tau31 it was impossible to hit him in his Templar.

Unselie I don't get why you are getting so personal either... I see you are very much in the "must pwn them" mode...
talking about fair play... you (or who else it was) coming with the QCO battleship to a 3 on 3 fighters fight is certainly very fair.... after it was destroyed you could at least admit losing it and changing the name... or putting something like "in dock for repairs" if we are RolePlaying and not just pwning people here.


I urge both sides to go to the PVP server and pwn each other to death to find out who is the best pwnzor if that is your goal.

In fact, Mjolnir, I did Roleplay a replacement.
The QCO has only one battleship, the BAF has hundreds.
Not hard to get a new one.
I believe Southhampton has another one waiting for the crew once they get out of medical from their most recent encounter with the fantasia.

Also, as far as I am concerned, the BSG is a worthless Yanf, since all its high command left, but they are too stubborn to leave.
I quite expected a few BSG taidans to show up, and maul the Penny while she couldn't move in the ice.

And in any case, the fight seemed to even out, to the point of a standoff, rather quickly.
A standoff I enjoyed.

Well you can think just about anything you want about them, but it should not affect your behavior so that you get rude and personal..... and it should not affect your in-character behavior at all.

Your intention in coming with that BS was not RolePlay based... no army would risk its only BS in an asteroid filled system full of enemy patrols to help in a 3on3 fighters fight... it was simply to not let them win (supplying bots/bats to all fighters) that is the "attitude" I'm talking about.

Same goes for BSG starting raids into Bretonia "to kill some of them".

YANF faction proposals get rejected because of their attitude and pvp whoring tendencies....that doesn't meat anyone should act that way against anyone. BSG is officially a faction and no admin has said it should not exist as far as I know. If it was for me to choose I would do without both the BSG, CR and Cylons, because this is Freelancer and not BSG.. but when they are here..I'm trying to roleplay with them. (threating them as two different parts of IMG mostly).

Enough said from my side.

EDIT: Thanks Hood... didn't know.. let's call them a few players that have the same tag. It still doesn't give anyone the right to be rude and ooRP just because they don't like the idea.

faction as yet. They decided to keep that name, and operate separately when the =CR= was formed out the
the original one.

Lagging annoys me too. On several of the raids ive been on with many people, the game starts to REALLY lag and i often miss.
any rememdies to the lag problem?

@Unselie - We didn't start this hostility with QCO. I see no RP in that at all.
Because, judging by your attitude and your RP in your dump, few BSG fighters are more important then whole KNF fleet.

Also, lest we forget, we are at war, and need to exterminate, the BSG, the KNF, and the Corsairs, in that order of significance.

If you could somehow explain it to me, how is killing BSG more important then killing KNF, i would be grateful.
You even managed to smuggle a Battleship to Tau-29 for god sake. Trough KNF blockade. Just to kill one BSG viper.
This whole thing sucks. And it is very personal. You dislike BSG, and that's why you attack us.
Mariku.Keiko (Or Kietan? Those names are very similar to me, sorry) had a chat with us, and we tried to set things straight, being neutral, as NPC's are.
You refused that. You want to fight us. Your problem.
We will fight back if needed.
Now, cut this arguing, it is pointless.
