Bwecasue at least 25% of the server population is always in New York and its filled with Traders, OORP chat, smugglers, weapons dealers and merchants. So it will be good to see some RP in that system
Now when when you come into NY its no longer a Safe Haven.
Well it IS a safe haven, in a manner of speaking. Just not if you happen to be enemies with Liberty;)Anyway, it's certainly a good change. Will hopefully make NY far more interesting.
Hmmm...
I think it's good and all that we can PVP in NY but..
Every time someone dies it used to say: "X" Was killed by "Z" Gun
Now it says "X" Has Died Or nothing at all...
Now I have traders saying I have no proof of a kill and that they can continue as if I wasn't there.. Or never Killed them..
___ New Avatar.. Needs a Bit of cleaning (Damn, I forgot the transparent Background again) The Crateria is Unhappy. From now on if you think you can carry on trading after you've faced Death you SHALL Face him again, and again until it Sinks in! Come on, Traders need to Follow the 4 Hours Cool down after death.. So your dead, Whats that? Your going to get me with a Big Bad Cruiser? As long as it is NOT piloted by yourself let it come...
iz it can be SCRA riad tiem plz? XD Yesh! Yesh it can be.
I predict utter chaos for a couple of weeks, maybe a month. Then things will settle down as people get used to it. Regardless, I think this development can only be good.:)
@ sdssn!p3r: Yes ... and to clarify something ... pirates don't normally just hang out in NY. There's no profit in it. I actually avoided NY because I couldn't do anything to the traders there. I'd usually sit around in one of the neighboring systems waiting for traders to actually leave NY. And I'd follow a trader around NY hoping he leaves so I can take him on (like I did with that one trader who set me up in California). Now traders are gonna have to work a bit harder for their paychecks.
@ Jinx: And don't forget that New York has the largest population of NPCs.
@ AC_Merc: Yeah ... I'm looking forward to some actual RP in Liberty.
@ Crateria: If a trader continues to trade after you've killed him ... take him out again. Hood's already addressed this and the re-engagement thing does not apply to traders being pirated.
All in all, this is awesome. I found out by pure accident when the =LSF=Kingvaillant shot at me. Kinda through me for a loop when my shields actually went down. So I suspect we'll have a lot of confusion until everybody gets the word that New York is now open for business.
