Ok, something that I saw a while ago, but just saw again and really loved, was From Paris With Love, starring John Travolta and Jonathan Rhys Meyers. Basically, Rhys Meyers plays an aide to the American ambassidor in France who's looking to get a job with the CIA, so the CIA sends Meyers to assist Travolta's character in an anti-terrorism operation. The whole movie basically takes the concept of a spy action-thriller and applies an almost humerous intensity to it. In the end, you get a movie that is high action, but doesn't rely on large stunts or over the top explosions to keep you entertained. The movie, and Travolta especially, is really funny, but not in a cheesy sort of way. They manage to strike a middleground between an espionage thriller, a mission-impossible style action movie, and a spy drama. All I can say is that the movie is really refreshing to watch and its mix of styles makes for a wider audience appriciation, so I'd suggest watching it with friends. Despite having the makings of a over-the-top spy movie, From Paris With Love is actually very clean cut, and even its most rediculous moments have a relaxed undertone that allow you to take them in stride and not have them ruin the movie for you.
Also, Top three movies I'm looking forward to seeing this month;
1. Sherlock Holmes - A Game of Shadows
2. Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol
3. Coriolanus, the Ralph Fiennes version
