So I had a question about the Vigilante ID. Been wating to get it for one of my guys due to the fact that it would fit his RP better but was hesitant due to the fact that I didn't want to lose my good standing with the Blood Dragons or GC. Im wanting to know if anybody knew if it would change my rep with them automatically like a junker ID does with kusari or a navy does with most outlaw factions. I fairly sure that it will change the faction of some of them but the only ones of concern were the BD and GC.
Also if anybody has some info on the 4.86 info card for the Vigilante/ranger ID would help as the only info I could find dates back to 2009.
Thanks in advance for any light anyone can shed on this for me.

Jonas Jansen: Freelancer trying to find what happened to his wife by any meens necessary
Marl Lambert: Captian of the Ridgefield mining ship.
Ted Jason:Captian of The Gentleman Caller, Ladies man, and Junker all rolled into one.

Here is a place to start for some general information, if you had not seen it yet.

A vigilante character should not have a good standing with GC or BD. They're criminals.

I heard somewhere, some time ago, that the Vigilante ID will be changed into Ranger ID in 4.86, and will be focused on hunting down slavers. Anyway yeah, you can expect a red rep with most outlaws.

I don't seed a signature.

Depends who you ask. There always at least two or more sides to every story.

Yeah was afraid of instant red rep with all owtlaws. Was wanting to make a anti-slaver that is willing to work with the BD and GC due to their outlook on slavers (Among the very few outlaw groups that are hostile to slavers to my knowledge).

A Vigilante is a rouge of whatever group they happen to be, no mater if it's Military, Pirate or Civilian. I like looking at Vigilantes on disco as members of a group who have taken matters into their own hands. Look at the Kruger Vigilantes. The RP behind them is that becasue Kruger refuses to allow any form of attack on the IMG, these pilots took it upon themselves to serve 'revenge'.

Also, even the ID states it: Vigilantes are often considered to be unlawful. So if the ID itself can be considered unlawful most times, what's stopping you from being a Vigilante of a pirate/terrorist/whatever group? If you have a sound RP foundation for it, and are willing to conform to the horrible restrictions, then I say go for it.

Also also, being an unlawful Vigilante makes it harder again, as you probably can't dock on Bounty Hunter/IMG bases, with the Kruger Vigilantes, we strictly do not dock on IMG bases, even though the ID says we can.

EDIT:

Just found this on the end of the ID: Players using the Vigilante ID MUST have a lawful tag/IFF

There's your answer....Then again, in the eyes of the GC or Blood Dragons you could be considered lawful. It's a long shot, but it could be worth a try.
