-The Tyoko/Berlin run was a tad broken, fine. Too much money too little time. But having 20 smaller, less profitable routes is no good at all. Yes it encourages people to play their factions routes, but it spreads players so very thin. In my opinion, to make things interesting, why not one or two large, long routes, that can branch out for different areas with the same profit? It encourages player interaction and piracy, making things more fun, instead of the 20 somewhat profitable but dead runs.
Also, please, get rid of local chat being the default. RP aside, it's annoying as heck and hardly serves a purpose. Am I the only one who thinks this?

What? Why? Seeing as speech normally takes place in local, it is better to have the default as local.
I can't agree with you there.
If they were to do this then I would expect them to get rid of atleast 3 of the 5 houses as well since there would be no point in them.
And I myself prefer local chat, if you need to say something in system, it is not too hard to type /s first.
' Wrote:This is my reasoning as well... more system chatter allows the universe to feel more alive.
Well it also allows all navy/police to hear piracy attemps.
Also hear nonsense OORP chat and so on.
As to one or 2 big/long well paying routes there are quite a few. But most people just do the short routes because they power trading.
I got a route i get 18mil 1 way,and 17mil back. It is long. There is also others, just need a large chunk of map explored for your chars. Or cheat and use companion.
It's got plenty of trade it just needs it spread out and evened (why does every EVERY commodities max selling point end up in Gallia?) I understand it's for people to try to populate gallia but that's not right for the other houses...
Especially Kusari.
Kusari is very dead... and has been for quite a while.
If some ore selling point was plopped there ( I thought one was in 4.85? still didnt help?)
or some profitable trade route was made there that could seriously help..
Trade died long ago. Prior to mining, cardamine was used extensively for its probably best c/s ratio and good route back n forth. With mining, you either mine, or you pirate. Trade is simply not profitable enough nowadays. And with no need for anybody to trade, whats the point of it?
also its like only those who have no knowledge of mining trade, or those who say its boring. Ridiculous pirate demands stay.
