Edit: I am not asking someone who has been caught to re-make their char everytime at all. What I am saying is globalplayer-svk has now made himself so noticable that he will be watched all the time.

It is pretty simple, don't know the fuzz about it.
If the police has you in range, and tell you to kill your engines, you should do it.
Unless you want them as enemies.
If, however, you refuse, you should take responsibility for your actions.

If a cop tells you to stop, on the street, you stop.
It doesn't matter if he's not aware of the corpses in your trunk.
If you refuse, you'r a wanted man.

On the other note, don't know if the LSF should act as a police.
I always thought they should be something like, the Agency.
Secrets, info, spying. Less fighting, less policing.
But, it's your RP, if your RP-ing a Police, then you have all the right to haul traders.

I'm a taxi driver IRL. If a police officer starts shooting at me without warning and without justification, I'm not going to pull over so he can finish shooting me to death. I have a better chance of surviving a high speed chase than a point blank shooting by a homicidal cop.

I'm going to act the same way in-game. If a police/navy player starts shooting without saying a word, I'm not going to stop. I'm going to do whatever I have to do to survive, even if I end up on some KOS list.

When are you going to say the same thing about Juan_Williams? I don't like police/navy players who attack without warning. Police/navy player factions shouldn't be acting like terrorists.

I had a similar problem with a member of SA while playing my Juan_Williams character. I left the West Point trade lane near Newark Station. My only cargo was several bounty hunter pilots (5-7, I think). As soon as I left the trade lane, I saw two BHG NPCs nearby, so I killed them (taking me to 7-9 bounty hunter pilots). While I was fighting them, I saw that my shields were going down fast, indicating that I was being attacked by another player.

I did read what you wrote Juan, thats why I quoted the above and I'll quote it again. Originally you said you were attacked while fighting 2 Bounty Hunter NPC's
I agree I do not think a Lawman should be attacking a neutral char with no warning. Obvious hostiles is allowed but even then it's better to RP an attack.

I checked my radar and saw that a member of SA was nearby, but he had said nothing. As fast as I could, I moored at Planet Manhattan. During my escape, the SA said to halt, but as far as I was concerned he was already attacking me without justification, so I saw no legal reason for him to stop me. I argued with him after I was on Planet Manhattan.

So you were engaged be a Liberty navy pilot then docked on a Liberty lawful base and now critisise our RP! Edited stupid remark out

I was ILLEGALLY attacked by a renegade SA officer who was BREAKING the law by attacking me, so I landed on a planet where I had LEGAL landing privileges. There is NOTHING wrong with my RP.

Chopper: I had been thinking about starting a thread about my SA incident. When I saw this thread about a very similar situation, I figured I would just discuss my SA incident here.

well I stopped reading on page two. Sorry. Getting way off topic and well my points are for the original post.

Simply put, for RP.

You are being attacked by Liberty forces, you DON'T dock on Liberty allied bases. There are others in system and holes to run thru.

If you are told you are KOS, you WILL be shot on sight. I too am prolly on LSF KOS, I still go to Manhattan. I have RP for it too. Though if they are shooting me, I will go to Rochester or something. Don't be mad or surprised. I won't either.

If you are a smuggler, you run the risk of someone doing RP on you and you not knowing it (having not seenthe post on here, or in private comms, it is still RP. Any can be called Investigation of your char. They ARE police and such, they do that. and you AREN'T told what they find till you go to court. Sucks huh?)

If you are police, and an independant, you should NOT be in a BS for anti-pirating, well not as a rule, but as a repect to good RP. It makes NO sense for an independant to make enough as such to afford one realistically for one, and well there is no reason if you are chasing pirates to have a big ship. Pirates are limited, so you should for fairplay and to expect respect as an RPer do the same. Sorry, Police have NO BS. SORRY. They get as big as an APC in RL, right? So why do they get more in game? Factions get LIMITED BS access as well. So there should not be MANY to begin with. That IS according to RP, unless that too has been changed AGAIN and I missed it, possible.

Navy has BS, Carriers, Destroyers, Cruisers and more. These ships are limited to HIGH RANKING OFFICERS. NOT to any that wants to *transfer* money from a private trader for their use. If that happened I'd expect a DARN GOOD RP for it. And would expect it to be some kind of bribe from unlawfuls to begin with, which makes great RP but very fine line to walk.

As for all the whining, well I agree ther is a lot. Most comes from people that are new getting surprised that they aren't as powerful as they thought. Well really people, get something straight. Even the BEST pilot gets dropped sometimes. I'm a decent flier, and I've been killed by the best of them, and chased by lots more. I've even managed to drop 2 NovaPG's in one battle a time or two. So don't be upset, its GONNA happen. More than once too. It is part of the game. The rest is people rule lawyering or arguing about it with them. This can sometimes not be avoided. I took time to explain things last night myself to make a person understand and they left a LOT happier for it. Not to mention that person will probably be more likely to respect me and I them next time we meet, as this has already been established. Its really terrible that people think that becasue there is a rule that makes a loophole they are gonna use it and get off no problem. Well you aren't. Someone will be watching, that person might be an ADMIN and you never know it. They have more than ADMIN tagged chars too you know. And only some that they let us know of.

Can i just say ive read through this thread again and i don't see any flaming/whining, global was just asking for clarification on something then a discussion pursued.

No one flamed your RP or your factions so don't take it like that.;)

I no where your coming from though, I used to get very defensive when other players brought up problems/discussions about factions im in and I used to get really heated with it but I try not to see everything as a dig against the faction.

Treewyrm is great at not getting pi*sed at people always asking about the Keepers RP, if i was him i would have flamed a few people to hell and back including myself.:P

The main reason for a forum is to discuss things, people don't view things the same but it doesn't mean its flaming.

We love LSF really.:P

If a cop starts shooting on people, because they have a criminal record, that's against the law.
