' Wrote:i have followed most of that thread... and after a while - i just wondered about one thing
if that had been a genuine faction "proposal" - from any other playerfaction - with all the back and forth arguing. - what would the chances be to become official?
The same chances than this one has I guess, or are we back to "bias!!!", "conspiracy" line of thougths?
' Wrote:also - a faction proposal is kind of an advertising. - the point of it is to present oneself and to gain "approval" from the community.
when the community comes up with too many concerns - such proposals are usually denied or forced to change fundamentally.
Which faction was dennied because of arguments and too many concerns?
' Wrote:the factions background and storyline is OK. - not thought out completely and inconsistent in the end. - but good enough i guess. - the concerns and critizism is MASSIVE - which is for one - surprising and for another sad ( in general ).
it is sad that the storyline is met with so much antipathy .. and it is also sad that there appeared to be little room to actually reach a compromise.
Do I understand that you think this faction should get dennied because they refuse to sign a treaty and blablabla? (If you didn't read Jammi's first post in page 28, I advise you to do now).
' Wrote:So anyways, what's with Gaian role in all this? I think you missed few things.
1) Gaians are in non-aggression pact with GRN, why would we do anything against them?
2) Skye base is Gaian main ship production facility, why should we let you use it?
3) You work with Crown and Bretonian lawfuls. Why should Gaians cooperate with you?
1. you don't have to
2. for sake of good relationships?
3. Because they can help you against Outcasts, Bounty hunters and Mollys. You may be interested in possible future cooperation with them against Bretonia again and you might not wanna risk good relationships with Hogosha and Farmers alliance. Also Gaians are nothing more than insects for almighty GRN. If they decide to crush you, you could use help of their swore enemies and someone who proved to be trustworthy ally in the past. Gaians also may not want Ronins cooperate with BAF against them instead of cooperation with them.
Gaians are now the least important faction in the area and nobody would really cry if you disappear. You should just do your daily routine and fight against Brets to make impression on both GRN and Ronins that they might actually need you in some point in the future and you are not threat for their interests right now. Just smile and wave on both sides.
So you actually ask us to throw Underloch's and Gaian lore in trash just because of your factions? We've been fighting BAF for years, and hello, we are still alive. All of our enemies are much stronger than us, and did it it ever stopped us from fighting them? We have a secret system, and untill some random GRN player goes "exploring" around and "accidently" finds Faroe, Gaians wont fall against anyone.
So, we will continue our way of living, and keep our main enemies, such are BAF and GRN. Deal with it.

No need, you want to have nothing to do with us, thats cool, up to you really. Just figured it would make for some good rp, since Kusari and the Gaians have a fairly long backstory together, and being that the Gaians were forced into a treaty with the Gallics, I figured they would be up for helping out in hurting Gallia in an underhanded way. Talked to some Gaians, they though it seems a good idea. You dont, cool, no worries.
Nope, all I said that we are going to keep original enemies. I have no problem with assisting you, but because of that, we are not going to stop shooting BAF nor any other Bretonia corps. If you still want our help after knowing that, no problem.

That was always the idea, never expected you to work with the BAF or Bretonian corps, it was more an idea for under the table secret working together.
That's something we could talk about... Sure, we'd shoot BAF and worked secretly with Ronin. But we would work for you, and shoot your allies at same time. So what would you do? Help BAF shooting Gaians? Or left BAF alone when they fight against us?

We would conveniently not be around when the Gaians and the BAF were fighting.
And you never thought that BAF might not like to see you retreating from fight just because Gaians joined? Or helping Gaians fight GRN? Or even letting BAF forces to be massacred by Gaians?
