I suggested something similar to this idea. My idea was to attach commodities to id's and then allow them to have a bonus when they purchased and sold those commodities. Some people liked it some did not and the powers that be chose not to implement it.
However, the way people chose to play this game is up to them, but someone somewhere feels the need to restrict the way others choose to play for whatever reason.
If someone wants to spend/waste the time to trade, shoot rocks for hours on end, kill pirates or be a pirate I think we need to let them do just that and quit trying to restrict peoples gameplay.
People need credits in this game to do many things such as buy another ship to create other characters, buy bigger ships, pay for bounties, or contracts they negotiate with other factions etc.
If someone wants to buy all the battleships they can what does that matter to anyone else?
I am not a good pirate and I do not necessarily dislike playing them, but I do not want to restrict the benefit that others get from pirating.
Just play the game and quit worrying about how others choose to play.

If that is what you think then there are no need of rules!! I dont feel bad about all traders but dont like when i see zoner 5k docking on house bases and unaffilated pilots flying 5k cargos. If the zoner(talking about indie powertrader) gets no bonous on selling commodities on house bases then they will not dock there(yes, they dont allowed by id but whose stopping them when no one is there to see).
However im not saying restricting but motivating house trades and rp trade. If every traadeing faction get bonous on certain commodities then we will see a good rptrade.

I like your idea about the bonus because as I said in my original post I made a suggestion similar to it a couple years ago.
However, you just proved my point. You do not like seeing someone flying a certain type of ship docking at a certain base so you want to restrict them.
If a player had the credits to buy that ship what is it to you that he has it and he flies around transporting cargo?
What ships do you have? How did you get them? Did you trade or mine for them? Maybe we should restrict you from flying those? From docking them on bases others do not want to see you docking at?
Do you see my point? It simply is not fair to restrict people because you do not like seeing a particular faction flyng a particular ship and docking at bases all over Sirius.
There are plenty of rules. Zoners cannot fly anything over 3600 holds. That is what their id says and they are limited to where they can dock in house space when flying capital class ships.
Now if there is an imbalance I am quite sure the admins and the dev team will straighten it out.
yes. Zoners are bound by id but whose there to see that their indies are docking on house bases or not. If you see someone doing that will you file a report? I dont think so. Neither do i. But its not the way it should be. When everyone is rping then why traders not.

If you don't file a report when someone breaks the rules then you're part of the problem. Not to say that you need to be watching for sanctions like a hawk, but if you see something that you know is wrong it should be reported or the system doesn't work.
I can see the point you're getting at, but flying a trade ship with a certain tag and ID, and only landing on the bases where that tag/ID "should" be landing... That's not RP. It's part of RP, staying in character for the faction and all, but it's not RP. It's playing an NPC, silently flying between certain bases with certain cargo. People can't be forced to RP, and no restrictions or encouragement for traders to act one way or another will make those traders RP. Traders who want to RP already do so, and those who don't, won't.
hi people! Do not forget the next updates that will enable the Player owned station! And forget about nerfing powertrading. Cuz 1 min after the POS update, ALL OF YOU WILL JOIN POWERTRADERS.
