From: Kei Marwick, Renzu Corporation To: Kusari State Police Re: Stolen Renzu Shipments
Konichiwa,
Recently Renzu has been the victim of a heinous crime. Every single one of our Ki model ships has been stolen. There is not a single one of these models left in either our dealerships or our shipyards. We have offered a small reward for information leading to the recovery of our ships, and would be happy to extend it to your operatives as well. The Ki line was being discontinued, so we care less about recovery than about finding the culprits and preventing similar thefts of our more current and profitable models. However, those ships represent almost a billion in credits and that is more of a loss than any company can afford.
It is our hope that you can help shed some light on the situation and bring the malefactors to justice. If you aprehend any suspects discover evidence relating to this incident, please, contact me as soon as possible. I thank you for your coming efforts and fervently wish you good luck.
Yours Sincerely,
Kei Marwick, Field Research Analyst, Member of the Board of Directors.

We as the KSP, are trying to do our work to minimise the troubeling isues as good as possible.
And I have to admid this is a realy bad isue and we do not tolerate this kind of crimes at all in Kusari.
As one of the most experianced officers in our force I have to ask you for more information.
I mean, we do need a starting point to investigate this case.
As you propebly understand we can't just go out on the street and ask people if they have seen/heart something. In other words we need evidence.
Now I am not telling you that we do not believe you but... you know what I mean.
Per example, as you know every ship has its own serialnumber, so does the ship's landingsmodule and thrusterdevice. If you can give me those numbers of the ships which where stolen then we can check the ships of this type if we see one.
In case if there are only parts stolen then we need manufactering serialnumbers and pictures/drawings of the parts.
All in all this is not a case which is quickly solved.
And now I am thinking of it...
This ship type is not only sold in our beloved Kusari. Are there only ships/parts missing which where made here in Kusari?
And maybe a tip (hint) from me to you, did you informed also the police forces of Liberty, Rheinland and Bretonia? Because of our knowledge this type isn't only build in Kusari.
So if you want that we can help you we urge you to give us more infotmation.

[color=#FFFFFF]Oyashio-san pretty much summed things up here. We'll need some sort of a lead in order to begin any formal sort of investigation.
Although, I just have one more question to add to the Junsa-Bucho's inquiry: Are any of your dealers or shipyard workers under the influence of any mind-altering substances? I don't mean to imply anything, but the disappearance of an entire shipline is... well, it's quite a feat, if it's true.
From: Kei Marwick, Renzu Corporation To: The Honorable Officers Tachiko and Oyashio Re: Stolen Shipments
Konichiwa,
I will attempt to answer all your questions in detail, but there is much I do not know. The means of how such a massive criminal act could be pulled off are beyond my comprehension.
First, we have finished our internal investigations into the matter. Unhappily we did find a few personnel who were less than optimal at the time. Two of our minor employee's, including a night guard, were found to have been drinking on duty. It is unclear if the janitor was drinking the night of the event, but the guard was not working that night and so is above suspicion. The third employee was a floor manager for our New Berlin offices. This person was found to not only be using illegal substances, but to be funneling small amounts of Renzu credits to an outside source. At first we suspected her of being involved, but our investigations show she was being blackmailed because of her cardimine dependency and a few photos of her in a revealing position. If needed we can provide the evidence we gathered on her but we ask that be avoided if at all possible. She was as much a victim of the blackmailer as we are of the people who stole our shipments. We aren't pressing charges against her and we see no need to degrade her further by exposing her to more humiliating investigations. All three of these people's employment have been terminated, though we did offer to enroll them in substance abuse programs free of charge, as well as offer them future employment if they can remain clean.
Second, you are correct, Kusari is not the only house that had Renzu shipments and stock disappear. The same thing happened in New York, the capital of Liberty. At the time, our other offices were sold out of the Ki model. The shipments of Ki light fighters to those offices disappeared as well, but we are unclear as to where this happened. We recieved no distress signals from our transport crews or ships. We will be contacting the Liberty authorities about the matter, but our trust in them and their abilities is rather less than our trust in you and your abilities.
Third, the ships were not chopped for parts or travel, that kind of action leaves evidence. Evidence such as tailings from cuts on the hull, burn marks on the floors from the industrial torches, and various chemical stains left from draining fluids. These things cannot be avoided in an operation involving this many ships and we have found none of them. It is our beleif that the ships were stolen whole. Presumably to outfit a new gang or revolution somewhere.
We were offered some information whose validity is suspect, but currently it is our only lead. One informant has stated that unusual Xeno, the Liberty terrorist group, activity was seen near our offices there. The information is suspect for many reasons, though. First, it doesn't explain why shipments in Kusari went missing. Second, our offices there are orbiting New York itself. Third, our employee's in New York deny that any such activity took place. It is little to go on, I know, but this is all we have uncovered so far. Quite frankly, Renzu is not set up to handle investigations of this sort. We have always relied on the proper authorities for such things.
The vessels stolen, as best we can determine, are as follows....
201 Ki type k models, SIN numbers 209a-ZT-87Y3-9648 through 9849
2 K7:P-19T "Akegata" Kusari Container Transports, SIN numbers 33YGX-M13-84103 and 84104
Yours Sincerely,
Kei Marwick, Head of Research and Development.

Well, I notice that you have done some internal investigation in your own company.
It is always better if criminal cases can be solved by own employees. In other words we do not need any report from those employees which were found guilty, from you.
With your other information we can do more!
We are happy to see that you could find some information about the so called SIN numbers, type and amount of ships.
I must admit it is a huge amount of KI type k model which are missing, but sorry to say, that could be our luck.
I mean if so many ships were stolen it is easier for us to look on the so called suspicious places. As you may know we have our special agents 24 hours working on the most unexpected places.
The only bad thing in our opinion is if the stolen ships were transported to places where the KSP can not do anything because of the simple fact the KSP does not have any right to be in that kind of places e.g. Liberty, Rheinland or Bretonia territory.
As you mentioned Xenos are Liberty criminals so we can not check them but we can check all the mentioned ship types here in Kusari territory.
It will take some time, I can assure you but I know you have faith in us.
Still, the KSP does not promise anything but we can tell you that we do our work as it should be and therefore we will find something.
I shall inform you if we have some interested information about this case.

[color=#FFFFFF]Well, in the few days that the KSP has had to investigate this case, we've picked up a handful of interesting leads. I can confirm by at least two other sources that there did appear to be "Xeno activity" around your offices on Newark Station at the supposed time of the disappearance. The details surrounding this "activity" aren't quite as clear. Three of the people we questioned claimed that half a dozen Xeno fightercraft were spotted several kilometers from Newark, disrupting Bretonian transports. Others claim the Xenos were attacking Newark itself. One woman says she witnessed a single Xeno ship forcibly dock on the station during the fray. Whatever the case may be, the Xenos seem to be suspect #1 here, at least in regards to your dealership in Liberty.
As for your shipyards in Kusari, we only have one lead so far. Several people present at Planet Kyushu's Renzu dealership claim to have seen a man matching the description of "Lionel Luthstrom" wandering around the grounds the day before your ships disappeared. Luthstrom is the current Chief Technology Officer at Detroit Munitions, a subsidiary company of Liberty's Ageira Technologies. Reports indicate that he remained at Renzu's dealership for several hours, but spoke with no one while he was there. One witness says he was "snooping around" Renzu's warehouses, though he wouldn't elaborate on that.
We'll keep you posted as we discover more about the case.
Mr Marwick is on a well-deserved break, he will be back in office within a few days. In the meantime, I would like to thank you for your efforts in helping us get to the bottom of this matter. The more detail we can provide in our insurance claim, the better.
Again, thank you for your help. Mr Marwick will be in touch soon.
From: Kei Marwick, Renzu Corporation To: Officers Tachiko and Oyashio Re: Your Investigations
Konichiwa,
I apologise for the delay in my communications with you. I understand that the galaxy stops spinning for no man, but every man must take some time to stop the spinning in his head. My time resting is over, though, and I am ready and able to continue the investigation with you.
I appreciate the effort you have gone to so far. It is quite apparent that you are not treating this as some minor incident and Renzu is thankful for that. With the information you have gathered on the activities of the Xeno's we feel we have adequate cause and information to contact the LPI, or Liberty Police Incorporated and demand they take action.
As for Mr. Lionel Luthstrom, his actions in and around our bases are not suprising, as we are negotiating some contracts with his company. I will be contacting Detroit Munitions about this, but it is most likely that his snooping was in the nature of determining our ability to uphold a contractual agreement. I know that I personally explored the Detroit Munitions facilities for the same reason.
Once again, thank you for your efforts. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.
Yours Sincerely,
Kei Marwick, Head of Research and Development.
