Today was a day I was flying solo. On my way back to home base, I flought near Manhattan.
I could bet that it wont end peacefuly. In the end I wasnt looking for peace.
What I found? LPI officer.
I got some strange ion storm system malfunction, but in the end all ended as planned
I didnt had to wait long to spot more .red on my scanners.
I guess I was treated like I should, deadly threat. Bringing LSC class vessel and GB is .. well, flattering.
As I thought that cant be better, again New Yorkies scums made my day. Brought another LSF units in their fighters, plus some Dreadnought !.
You can imagine how happy I was. By this happiness I decided to leave the place at once, along with
two pilots who joined in meanwhile. I guess they dont liked navies too. That would be all for now.
Fleet Commander Kinnaird reporting in. Attached is my report concerning combat action in the New York system.
++Report Begins++
I launched my personal Prosecutor multirole interceptor in response to a priorty target flagging by Fleet Commander Anders. He had engaged a LPI wing near West Point, and having destroyed a hostile fighter, proceeded east towards Norfolk. Down the Trade Lane he encountered an idle Navy Siege Cruiser, which he pinned down with Cruise Disruptors and called in the target.
I arrived on site just as Anders was engaging the Cruiser. *[1]
Notes:
- Callsign "MaryJane"
- Armour Grade Capital Mk IV
The Cruiser's turrets were too cumbersome to track our fighters and we proceeded to suppress its shields. However, concerned that reinforcements would arrive before we could cripple the MaryJane, I called in for heavier fire support. The Inquisitor-class Gunboat HFGB-Spleenflash, captained by Fleet Commander Brass, was on station and headed for the fight. At this stage the Siege Cruiser's crew must have realised that they were in serious trouble and gunned their engines for planar north, towards the New York star.
With the addition of the Heavy Gunboat's firepower, the Cruiser's shields collapsed completely and our guns began to pound its hull. *[2]
The Spleenflash's cannons ripped into the Cruiser's engine block, setting fire to the rear of the ship, which then initiated a catastrophic chain reaction, blowing the Cruiser apart. *[3]*[4]*[5]
{CLASSIFIED (High Command only): A Nomad fighter-class vessel was present. It appeared only to observe this engagement and did not attempt to communicate or attack either side.}
Detecting more hostile contacts on the long-range DRADIS, our temporarily-designated Attack Group Javelin regrouped with Lieutenant Abel Cage in his Roc-class bomber and returned to West Point Academy. There we found multiple hostile vessels waiting for us; an Assault Battlecruiser, LNS-Atlantis, the infamous National Guard Gunboat [NG]-Assualt1, and a Bounty Hunter bomber called [Super.Bass].
To my suprise, I spotted our old comrade Tharog Frosthearth nearby, and I exchanged a few pleasantries. It seems he is a changed man, though, and he went on his way before combat began. When he left, we wasted no time in gunning for the Navy ships. We swung around in formation and bombarded the Assault1, set as the priority target on the belief that all of our ships could evade the Battlecruiser's fire for long enough.
Our training and experience pulled us through, and the Gunboat collapsed before the might of the Legion. *[6]
{CLASSIFIED: At this time, the Nomad entity engaged the Navy ships.}
Multiple fire patterns punctured the Assault1, detonating the Gunboat's primary magazine, scattering shrapnel and wreckage. *[7]
We detected unusual power fluctuations on board the Battlecruiser consistent with Ion weaponry discharges, and it disappeared for a short period of time.
The arrival of another well-known ship, the Navy Repair Vessel LNF-Hope, was short lived. We sent it running for the docks of West Point. *[8]
When the LNS-Atlantis reappeared, we remorselessly punished the Battlecruiser, and its shields began to fail. *[9]
The Bounty Hunter bomber, realising that he was outclassed, fled for West Point, and we redoubled our efforts against the Battlecruiser. *[10]
When its shields gave way completely, the Battlecruiser's captain lost his nerve and headed for the shield bubble of West Point, firing a few futile broadsides towards our Inquisitor. *[11]*[12]
Before we could barely catch our collective breaths, more Navy reinforcements arrived, in the form of a weakly-armoured Gunboat (mr_green) and a Guardian pilot, LN-Timothy.Hawk. Ignoring the Guardian, our combined firepower made a mockery of the Gunboat's defences and it too fled for West Point. *[13]
However, not to be denied a kill, Fleet Commander Anders stuck on its tail until the last possible, and succeeded in destroying the Gunboat. *[14]
Timothy Hawk, obviously outnumbered and heavily outgunned, fled down the Trade Lane to Planet Manhattan. The Spleenflash met up with Major Kailee Barnes out of range of Manhattan's defense grid while I, Anders, and Cage ran back to Ouray to resupply. Anders transferred over to the helm of one of our newer Arbiter Battleships, the HFB-Polyphemus. We RV'd above Manhattan and launched our assault against the waiting ships from ultra-high orbit.
Multiple enemy contacts were awaiting our arrival, including Navy Primary Officer [LN]-Natalie.Cahoone, LPI officer Luke.Walker, and Navy Gunboat Iron.Hammer. Repeating the tactics which had proved effective earlier in the sortie, we locked onto the Gunboat and swiftly destroyed it. *[15]
Responding to the LPI officer's distress call, yet another Gunboat arrived, the Cloud_Of_Sparrows, and another LPI pilot, Thomas.Knox, and Mandalorian Mercenary MM~Espaneca'. Unphased, the Legion proceeded in destroying yet another Gunboat. A very unlucky day for the Navy! *[16]*[17]
A random pirate, That.Hill, showed up quickly after that. We ignored him, and he happened to be after the Liberty ships too, so that didn't bother me one bit. Unfortunately, though, a pair of Navy Roc bombers arrived, LN-Delta.1 and LN-Delta.2. *[18]
Having sustained damage over the course of the combat action, the Spleenflash suffered a number of critical hits from the bombers and was forced to disengage. A dozen crewmen serving aboard it were killed or injured. With multiple hostile capital-grade targets inbound on Manhattan, and becoming swiftly outnumbered by the present snub fighters, I sounded the general retreat. The Polyphemus pulled out of orbit, and while I did not personally receive kill data from the ship, I have it on good authority that they destroyed a BHG Core Mako and at least one Navy Dreadnought before regrouping with Warhammer actual. I held back long enough to make sure Lieutenant Cage and Major Barnes were clear, before accelerating towards the Colorado Jump Hole, Natalie Cahoone hot on my tail. What a persistent woman - she was a hair's breadth behind me the whole way, but once I jumped through she did not follow.
For excellence in the field of battle, and with the approval of Legion High Command, I have been authorised to promoteLieutenant Abel CagetoMajor. Congratulations, Major.
<<Personal Log Begins>>
Looks like I have some loot from the day's battle. Something to enjoy in what little spare time I have... <*>
Responded to an emergency call from the Xenos, I was on Ouray so I responded quickly enough to the New York gate, yet even then we were outnumbered, and I had only got there when one of the Xenos went down, and even with myself, liberty forces still had more numbers. And it didn't get less. After some wild combat maneuvering and fighting, I did some damage to LSF forces yet had to pull back to Ouray due to heavy ship damage, with four guardians right on my tail.
I made it, yet damage to my ship is too much to continue the fight, it's still raging on outside.
A side-note, I find it strange that when I entered the bar after the med bay, I find a few of our own legionnaires just drinking and laughing, not even caring about the distress call. I'll leave it at that, as there were some higher ranking members.
I responded to an RV call to the California hole in Ontario and met up with Fleet Marshal Voss. We jumped to California hunting down some rogues and a reported battleship class in the system. While Fleet Marshal Voss headed to the field to get more info, I kept at the New York gate, where I intercepted a Salvager fit for anti snub combat. I held my ground and distracted him while Earthquake came in and made short work. At that point Fleet Marshal Voss reported sighting of the battleship, which was actually an assault carrier, seemingly loitering near Cali Minor.
Myself, Marshal Voss and the Earthquake lured it out into the open, and with the Libertine falling in to the battle, it ended soon after, it seems the Carrier had some targeting problems after one point because it didn't really fire back at the Libertine, oh well.
That's that, all ships returned to Ouray. Ryan signing off.

Barely had time to do anything, was just taking off my flight suit when we had another RV call, again at cali, I suited up and flew out. There was another Assault Carrier and even an Assault Battlecruiser this time, at Riverside, I took the VR's position of information gathering.
The rest of the task group was formed 20 clicks below Riverside, but before we could act, the Carrier suddenly cloaked, so I advised immediate frontal assault and destruction of the Battlecruiser, only took us a minute to do so. Not even everyone engaged.
Headed back to Ouray, we're all clear. Hopefully I can actually get a drink and some rest this time.

Moved out to California with the Disguised Sabre, eager to test some different weaponry. He was under attack from and =LSF= fighter, a Navy Roc, and a Bounty Hunter. The first target was the Roc, and due to Brass having already weakened it before my arrival, it didn't last too long. We moved onto the LSF Agent, as another =LSF= Fighter showed up to the fight. After several minutes, the =LSF= Avenger went down, and its fellow Agent in a Guardian fell as well. We lastly targeted the Bounty Hunter, who was also taken out. Brass RTB'd while I went to take a look a round, and was quickly intercepted by a Mandalorian in an Eagle. He was rather blunt with his intentions, and quickly we opened fire on each other. However, he suffered an error in his controls and ran into two of his own mines, as well as one of my own.
Whilst moving back, I noted the LNS-Manhattan.Project, a heavily armored Carrier. While Brass boarded the Polyphemus, I stayed around while we chatted about its interesting loadout. It was carrying a full load of Flaks, Primary Turrets, and Battleship Missiles. However, once Brass showed up in the Polyphemus, and Major Cage appeared in his Roc, the Carrier docked onto Riverside, making any attempt to attack it futile. However, while we were searching around for new targets, Cage caught the attention of another Mandalorian. I moved quickly to Minor, where Cage was heading, and cruised to Disrupt the Mando and make sure Cage got out safely, whilst Brass moved back into our home system to grab the Emperor. The Mandalorian stalled for a bit, and soon another appeared, and the one that showed up opened fire whilst the other watched. However, about midway through, the other joined in, and Assault 1 also appeared on scene, although he held fire. As I duked it out with the Mandalorians, it soon came apparent that I wasn't going to be successful. As such, the Emperor moved in to assist, however this proved futile as the Mandalorians switched onto it, as well as a newly found Guardian. After a bout of luck, the Emperor managed to collide with the Mandalorian Espaneca, an Eagle, crushing the enemy ship. The Emperor managed to engage cruise engines and moved out towards the Magellan Jumpgate. I had moved back to Magellan, and transferred via in-flight boaring onto the Spleenflash and moved out to California to assist. Under heavy fire when I arrived, we both unleashed hell on Assault 1, and eventually destroyed it, however the Emperor was disabled during the fight. With our main target down, I RTBed, however there was some lack of communication, and Ryan Williams got caught in Magellan by multiple hostile fighters. I scrambled a fighter to assist him, and after some in-field repairs, they all managed to retreat from the fighters safely. Additionally, while I was still in a Prosecutor, Major Barnes was shot down by an enemy fighter while trying to assist us. While she may have been taken down, I commend her for the fact that the fighter would have ended up in the big fight, and things might have gone much worse for us.
Ok, this one was a little odd, and for some reason my gun cam data is a bit corrupted so I don't have that much visual intelligence. Anyhow, to the point;
I was patrolling New York and decided to sweep Manhattan from a safe range, when I got there I saw a VHF, LF and an Assault Battlecruiser engaged with this crazy xeno Armored Transport. Which was..odd. But either way, I decided to aid the Xeno, took a minute to rip open the Eagle, yet the Liberator flew the hell away, and targeting those things are a bit hard.
We then started firing on the Battlecruiser, following it up and around Newark, something must have been wrong with their targeting systems or the gunner was asleep or something. We somehow heavily damaged the battlecruiser, forcing it to moor with Newark and the incoming tide of repair systems was too much for our firepower. Two other fighters engaged, they as well, docked.
Alright, this is a big one, and I really couldn't track the exact amount of ships that were destroyed, neither their ship types, but the gun cams show lots of action. Anyhow, I was on a lone patrol in New York when some random naval warship did a broadcast about a fight near planet Manhattan, of course I took the initiative and went in to see for myself. There was a large fight between Liberty Forces and some random Pirates, Rogues and Freelancers, decided to jump in myself and destroy Liberty's forces.
It's not like the pirates could do much damage to the structures around Manhattan anyway. The guncams are there, yet I think we destroyed about 2 Dreadnoughts, a Battlecruiser and even an Assault carrier, along with a couple of gunboats and snub vessels. It seems the whole navy operation was lead by a recruit of the primary fleet. Sure the secondary fleet doesn't have as much brains as primary, yet still..a recruit? No wonder they had no coordination, idiots.
When the navy were down to a couple of fighters they ran to West Point, the primary fleet recruit requested that I come to the middle of the Hattan-WP lane alone, I did. Jane Hartman, the recruit. She had somehow thought that I was in command of the Pirate Forces, and requested that I get them to back off Manhattan. Truth be told the pirates were indeed acknowledging my targets and destroying them, yet I wasn't really in command, and I didn't have the firepower to get them to leave the Manhattan defense perimeter. But Hartman had a point, I couldn't let blood thirsty idiots just blow up any civilians that crossed their path.
Yet there were reports of a small capital patrol near Fort Bush. I persuaded the rogues that they needed to kill them, or else they'd come and destroy them instead. They fell for it and headed to Fort Bush. This gave the navy enough time to bring in ships to enhance Manhattan's defense perimeter, at least the population was safe.
Nothing else to report, was one hell of a fight, after some other minor battles, I headed back to Ouray.
Several Legionnaires were patrolling Liberty, I took command and ordered an RV at Houston, since there were reports of a Rheinland invasion. A Navy vs Military showdown at Texas, near Houston. It would've been big, yet the Navy forces weren't as much and we decided to take down the Rheinlanders, they were more of a threat to civilians, considering they had a fleet. Yet, the report won't be as big, there was fierce ionic interference in the system. We had just engaged the Rheinland forces right after the Navy spearheaded the engagement, two rheinland cruisers and a fighter was downed pretty quickly. Yet before we could continue, a major ion storm kicked in, ripping at all ship's electronics, we were completely blind for a minute, not being able to do anything.
When the interference died down, we could see that the Navy was cowering near the Mississippi, we re-engaged the Rheinlanders anyway, the navy just sent a small wing of fighters along with...mercenaries, and didn't do anything else, the bastards, some joke they are.
Some more interference kicked in, allowing the Rheinland vessels to get away from our task force, we followed them to Bering, yet most of them had jumped to Hamburg by then, nothing we could do. Afterwards we simply RTB'd, all clear. Not much gun cam data as the ion storms pretty much screwed all our electronics over.

Been a busy day, I'll keep this one short. I responded to a Vagrant Raider's distress call near West Point, it seems the Navy, LSF and Order were having some sort of chat there. By the time myself and a member of the XA got to the scene, most of the Liberty Forces were downed, we engaged anyway. At that point two bounty hunters, a bomber and gunboat joined in to shoot. The fight got carried to West Point, the last navy officer died and the hunters docked on West Point, which was when Fleet Commander Dale arrived on the scene, and aided to mop up the last LSF vessel, who docked on West Point as well.
After that, Fleet Commander Dale returned to base, I kept in New York with the VR to find a lone navy officer near Manhattan, it seems the defense grid was down..again..the retards at Navy Command need to take those poles out of their asses.
We engaged the officer, with heavy ionic interference, so it took some time but in the end we made him dock on Newark. I decided that enough was enough and I couldn't linger around anymore, navy warships started to fill in, so I RTB'd to Ouray. Having my ship checked out now.
I've also petitioned for a bomber class vessel as well, lots of caps these days, already have the training needed, just waiting to have it equipped.
